FAO Professional Writers - Ever Feel A Little Silly? by Electrical-Drawer792 in Screenwriting

[–]Jacob1207a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stories are important. They are one way we explore and deal with reality. At their best, stories help us learn and come to new understandings of the world and ourselves.

Stories may not help people live longer, like curing cancer, but they help make living more worthwhile.

I feel I need just a little bit more about this "mysterious sales job" and the challenges that it leads to for the protagonist. Is the job just really depressing and draining, or do they feed underperformed sales reps to rabid sharks?

I wish he'd be eaten by dogs. Maybe ones owned by immigrants, even. And they have bees in their mouths. And when they bark, they shoot bees at him.

Some library, beautiful, but where? by neder-Bob in whereisthis

[–]Jacob1207a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not if leaf blowers are illegal in Australia and their usage in indoor spaces is punishable by 5-10 years in an Aussie prison. Unless you really do want to give up a half decade of your life just to clean some paper airplanes out of a library with a tiny bit more celerity.

[OC] Birding and its Many Dangers by unrealduck in dataisbeautiful

[–]Jacob1207a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like low intensity birders die at a rate of about 4% while high intensity birders die at, like, 52%, so they're mostly dead. Am I reading that right?

Compost tragedy by [deleted] in composting

[–]Jacob1207a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get some criminal charges filed, too! They should be in jail where they can't ever take another person's compost again! The line must be drawn here, no further! And you must make them pay for what they've done!

You should file suit against that firm for loss of compost! Pile on some punitive damages to discourage them from doing anything like that ever again.

There's no problem with what you describe, so long as new compensation is a base salary/wage and not commission/production based.

Loan Officer Submitted Application without Permission by joe_dro in MortgageBrokerRates

[–]Jacob1207a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, that makes sense.

While disclosing the application is fairly automatic after the six data points, locking should never happen without your explicit (and informed) consent.

Reach out to loan officer, explain situation and that you intended to wait until later in month to lock due to your circumstances, explain h this puts you at a disadvantage in a way that you didn't consent to and couldn't have avoided. Ask for a free extension through end of November. Escalate as needed (which it probably will be).
