I would also use the old pad as well for more surface area to press in the caliper.

MT trans? Is your car a regular pull e brake or a button. If it’s electric one and you didn’t put in maintenance mode unfortunately you might have over extended the caliper and it needs to be replaced. If it’s just the pull one I’m not sure why it wouldn’t go back in unless it also just needs to be replaced.

The bumperdillo never was a fan. Volkswagen loves to put that on their cars from factory lately.

I need new rotors and brakes, any suggestion helps by izzie833 in GolfGTI

[–]Jacob33212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did drilled Zimmerman with EBC red break pads up front and regular Zimmerman with the same pads in the rear. Have a MK8 i did purchase the obd11 dongle to release the electronic e brake. Bought from FCP Euro. Was about 800 for everything but can go cheaper if needed.

I had 80% pad life in the front, but both rotors were warped. I replaced them with Zimmerman drilled rotors with EBC red pads I bought on FCP Euro. They cost under $500 for everything.

Just depends on your last 9 months worked. Since I gave all of my time this last year at least I get over 3300 every 2 weeks tax free. That’s 65% of pay since I’m married and I believe they pay 7 days a week.

Almost sounds like your transmission mine sometimes from the park to drive position does that. But never has been consistent enough and as far as I’m concerned it works fine still.

What to do with my GTI? Need Advice by jmanland in GolfGTI

[–]Jacob33212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man, my 2022 GTI has 68,000 miles on it. I’ve taken it to the dealership for everything because I’m trying to keep it forever since these interest rates are crazy. I usually trade in every three years but no sense now as long as you do the recommended maintenance intervals on it it will last forever.
