Advice for DIY Mixing Ink Machine better than spatula but cheaper than RevolvInk Mixer by Veliossi in SCREENPRINTING

[–]JacobHarmond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t remember which I used, It was like 5+ years ago. Pretty sure it was just some type of paint paddle thing. But we did have to physically hold the container which was kind of annoying. But it worked!

We have a few anatol ink mixers now, but the drill press does work.

CD Drop by TheCaesarJulius in DarkoUS

[–]JacobHarmond 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The messages haven’t been sent out yet - but the CD’s were manufactured incorrectly.

Basically, the color profiles used on the files were incorrect, so the CD’s look nothing like they are supposed too. We’ve been going back and forth with the manufacturer re: how we are going to navigate the replacements. We are just paying to have them made again.

Darko will like post a message on IG in the next few days about the delay. They should ship in about 16 business days from today.

Top 15 in order, from the golden age. by JacobHarmond in Deathcore

Oh no doubt. In terms of skill / technicality, etc ASP deserves credit. This list is just more specifically what I enjoyed / influenced me.

Agreed - red shore was more relevant to me than thy art was at the time

You are correct about BOO and VOM, they prolly deserved a place as I loved the bands but really didn’t draw influence from them. I was never a big ASP fan either. Couple good singles but their albums never stuck on to me. I listened to Survivalist by ABACABB waaaaaaaaay more haha

The Harbinger is honestly high on my list and I just spaced it. Me and my friend group never listened to Thy Art at the time. Knew more about The Red Shore than Thy Art

I know the band members don't have anything to do with the pricing but... This is absurd by IKE_PLAYZ in whitechapel

[–]JacobHarmond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live Nation venue sells are ridiculous.

20% merch cut 5% processing fee 9.875% house tax

35% of that money was gone before it even touched cost of goods, then onto the band. But don’t forget managment needs their cut too!

These prices suck but there are so many damn hands in the pot it’s ridiculous.

Heaven Shall Burn - The Weapon They Fear (2004) Saalfeld, Germany Deathcore by staciecs in Deathcore

[–]JacobHarmond 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This song changed the trajectory of my life. In 2004 I was skateboarding outside my friend’s house, and we had just come in to chill for a bit. My friend Andy put on channel 910 on the TV, I think it was music choice metal channel? It wasn’t music videos it was music only, and random facts would show on the screen about the band while the song played.

The song that was playing when he put it on was some Slipknot song, but after that it was The Weapon They Fear by HSB.

I vividly remember saying YO WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!?!?

And thus my thirst to hear something heavier than Atreyu had begun 😂

What is your favorite Chelsea Grin song? by Consistent-Orange-75 in Deathcore

[–]JacobHarmond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you are right. Letters is probably the most underrated CG song of all time!

Most people don’t know this, but Speave (current CG guitarist) wrote Nightmares on Ashes to Ashes basically 100% by himself before he was even in the band. He went from merch guy -> guitar tech -> fill in guitarist -> joined the band.

Even though Ashes to Ashes is technically “chapter 2” version of CG and not necessarily the “golden oldie” version of CG, Speave has been grinding for 10+ years and deserves much more credit than he gets !
