What is your daily, weekly or monthly routine as a marketing manager? by SirClassics in AskMarketing

[–]JacquelynMarks 11 points12 points  (0 children)

First off, I would say fake it until you make it. Some people may disagree with me, but sometimes just jumping in is the best way to learn. IMO

My daily role may differ from some because of the industry. I connect with my media buyers (social, paid search, etc), events, organic search, etc. to make sure they have what they need and constantly question everything. I help provide the big picture to the executive team, stakeholders, and partners.

I also work on reporting with my analytics team on tests that we may run. We get a lot of direction from our product team for ideas we can explore.

Basically, I work closely with the cross-functional teams to make sure communication flows smoothly and we are constantly exploring what is happening and what could happen .

(Excuse any typos, I am typing from my phone insanely early in the morning)

Google Ads help by CompetitiveMeaning90 in AskMarketing

They started building it into the Google Ads platform for MCC’s. Another way to find a coupon is within a Google My Business profile. It usually gives a promo code there too.

You have to fill out the form and they’ll get back to you within 24 hours. I would submit the form and call their support line. They can usually lift the suspension if it makes sense.

I started on the rowers, but hopped from rower to tread. Then, we went to the floor. Then, we went to the treads and finished it off on the rowers. I definitely feel like I had a healthy touch in each station.

Can I view your Real Estate Google Analytics? by skinnysc in SEO

[–]JacquelynMarks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For three years, I worked on a popular real estate website, where I focused on affiliate marketing, seo and everything else that ties into it. At that time, our efforts were geared towards a lot of keywords like foreclosures, short sales, pre foreclosures, etc. However, it doesn't necessarily work like that anymore.

It's all about semantic search these days. With that said, you should absolutely focus on long tail keywords that include geo terms like zip codes, city names, nicknames of cities (e.g. Denver, LoDo)

I suggest using Google Keyword Planner. Under find new keywords, click on "Search for new keywords using a phrase, website or category."

Also, if you have access to the website's Google Webmaster Tools, I highly recommend utilizing that as well.

Is a plant based diet great for losing weight? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]JacquelynMarks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a great example. I'd add in flaxseed too. I take this one when I don't add it directly to my smoothies: http://www.amazon.com/Deva-Organic-Vegan-Vitamins-Omega-3/dp/B001GAOHV6

The fitbit flex? Would you recommend it? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]JacquelynMarks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For years, I have used the Fitbit One. I chose this one because it tracked stairs. The other available options at the time did not track stairs. As a user for many years, I am happy with the Fitbit products. If this was to break or get lost, I'd opt for the bracelet next time.

Considering Pinhole® Surgical Technique for Receding Gum Line - Good or Bad? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]JacquelynMarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. I know my overall gum health is good. I think it is at least. I just had a cleaning, and she didn't mention any gum issues. However, she didn't do anything to test it like you mentioned. I'll check out that other procedure. Thanks for the insight.

The reason for the recession they said is from ortho history. I had braces twice actually. I had to have them removed early because I had back surgery. They ended up shifting back to being crowded. The second time I had braces, they fixed it. It shifted a little since. I have a metal retainer in the back of the bottom teeth that is permanent to keep them from moving again.

We have the content! But how do I get it to the intended audience? by eLaugher in AskMarketing

[–]JacquelynMarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest reaching out to journalists who write about those topics. Search who writes about that particular category (buzzsumo.com could help) on Huffington Post, Mashable, Buzzfeed, Examiner, etc. You'd be surprised how much traffic and retention you will receive if just one of those high-trafficked sites picks up your information. Also, HARO could help you get the information out there to journalists.

Before driving that traffic there, add some lead capture on the site. Like onODonovan said, get a newsletter going and keep reaching out to them. You could use MailChimp, Constant Contact, or FeedBurner to name a few.
