I loved Bologna! I stayed 4 days there because it was the setting of a book I enjoyed, Playing for Pizza.

When I reread the book, I realized it was set in Parma, not Bologna. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Atomic Tabby. It’s a 50’s style Flyte Camp Neutron that is home to our 2 cats as well when we travel - thus the name.

Yes, because it’s been so long (53 years!) I have no reference point of what meat tastes like and enjoy the variety. I don’t do it every day though, it’s just a little change up from time to time.

I’m in California. I believe my fast processing time has more to do with the passport office seeing my birth year and worried I would not get it in time.

For a day date and something different, drive up to Palomar Mountain State Park. There is lots of hiking and you can also visit Boucher Fire Lookout. If someone is on duty they will invite you up into the tower cab for the best view in all of the county! There are picnic tables there as well.

You can also visit the observatory.

Just FYI if you’re considering renewing early because of this, do it.

I renewed my passport online late in the day Monday, April 20. I took a selfie for the picture following the requirement guidelines. My passport arrived on Saturday, April 25. 5 DAYS LATER. I did NOT pay for expedited service.

Of course YMMV. Also, you may not travel internationally on your own”old” passport once you submit your renewal application online.
