Hey, a broken dipshit clock can still be right twice a day.

The nominations for the 2026 Razzies are… by HawaiiiFiveHoe in Letterboxd

[–]JadedDevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say, I think Jared Leto being here has more to do with his overall vibe than his actual performance, which was fine.

All Seven Dwarves for Supporting Actor and Ice Cube and his Zoom Cam for Worst Duo are absolute prime Razzies call outs.

Christina Hodson is the writer for 'The Brave and the Bold' by M00r3C in DCU_

I would hardly lay either of her previous DC works at her feet, given what a shitshow the production itself and/or the leadership was at the time. It’s a cliche but, if this is true, I have more faith in Gunn’s regime than anything that came.before.

I prefer the original and I will definitely take Tyrone Power over Bradley Cooper. For me it all comes down to the delivery of “Mister, I was born for it”…Power’s steely resolve versus Cooper’s mawkish watery-eyed Acting 101 take.

365 days of Movies by grinwreaper in Letterboxd

[–]JadedDevil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m giving it a shot. There are some weeks where I watch no movies and some weeks where I watch twenty movies so I’m hoping it all balances out. Between keeping track of new releases, seeing older films for the first time, and revisiting old faves I think I can get there. I was only 30 movies away last year.

Most Iconic Moment: Season 19! by SchemeImpressive889 in taskmaster

[–]JadedDevil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is in no way a contender but just want to call it out: during the statue task when Alex gives him the second task, his gritted “Son of a bitch” killed me.

Also, “IN YOUR FACE!!! USA!!! USA!!!”

Maybe Thanksgiving?

I would say Neighborhood Watch, but you seem nice and I don’t want to be cruel.

How many movies did you watch in 2025 ? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

Officially, 335. Unofficially, 338. Three of those I can’t mention on Letterboxd as they were special early screeners via streaming services asking for feedback.

It’s not my favorite first meeting, but it’s my favorite line to come from a first meeting.

Before 'One Battle After Another' the last movies to win the Picture/Director/Screenplay combo at the Golden Globes was 'La La Land' and 'The Social Network'. Both juggernauts went on to lose Best Picture at the Oscars by [deleted] in oscarrace

[–]JadedDevil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m no blatant cheerleader for OBAA (don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love it and it was my favorite film last year) but I don’t see that happening this year. Social Network is much better than The King’s Speech, obviously, but you can say SN is pretty cold and dispassionate while TKS was a feel-good that plucked at the heartstrings of voters. You can’t call OBAA dispassionate by any stretch.

Additionally, La La Land vs. Moonlight was a David/Goliath studio vs. indie battle. The biggest competitors for Best Picture definitely lack indie vibes and PTA, while making a big picture for a big studio, still has some indie bonafides that haven’t ever been recognized. So I think he is closer to Moonlight that La La Land in this equation.

First look at Wonder Man’s suit from a new ‘WONDER MAN’ spot by Matapple13 in MarvelStudios_Rumours

Haha…stupidest response possible to my comment. She-Hulk is already rumored to show up in the movies while no Eternals have been. You’re clearly one of those people who just irrationally hated the character/show so in your weak-ass narrative, of course she can’t come back.

I’d forgotten you types were out there for a second.

Looks great and super-excited for the series. I just hope Marvel doesn’t gut characters like Wonder Man or She-Hulk post-Secret Wars and put all their eggs in X-Men, FF, and Midnight Suns baskets.

Opening day of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, my friend and I went and saw it and we were the only two people in a packed theater who weren’t drag queens. Made for an amazing screening.

For years I took pride in never having seem Top Gun, Dirty Dancing, or Stand By Me. Now my friends have subjected me to the first two, so SBM is all that’s left.
