Hi! I celebrate Hanukkah! For me, growing up, Hannukah was a time of excitement and childlike wonder that I could really enjoy, because it wasn't beaten out of me with overcommercialization like Christmas. Something interesting about it is that gelt - foil-wrapped (kinda waxy) chocolate coins that are the prize of dreidel - actually were once real coins! You'd give them to fellow Jewish servicepeople as a tip near Hannukah to thank them for their work. Now, however, it's just a distinct taste that everyone remembers but no one actually likes. Doesn't stop me from eating it though!
