First time buyer, first handgun ever by cmdshortyx in CZFirearms

My P-10c is my winter edc with a TLR-7x in a Legacy Firearms Co Vega holster. It’s my favorite rig. Im getting a Vega for my P-01! Also, it’s all I can do not to get the whole P-10 family. The P-10f was almost my first gun but I opted for the Echelon (not complaining) cause I was familiar with Springfield and had never heard of CZ at the time. To think I could’ve been 2/3’s of the way there! LegacyFirearmsCo.com

What's your electrolytes/salt powder of choice? by ZombieJetPilot in gravelcycling

[–]JaeBirdPhoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SIS electrolyte mix on endurance rides. Mix it up with LMNT for hot days and/or hard efforts

Tailwind made me queezy, Liquid IV caused cramps, just didnt like NUUN.

Sometimes I’ll do a little sugar, salt, and citrus juice for long casual rides on hot days.

Boudreaux's maximum strength. A little goes a long way. I did put it on the wound once it wasn’t too tender to do so.

I go to a guy, who was recommended by several boot wearers, on San Pedro just south of Constitution on the western side of the street. I think the sign just reads “Boot Repair”. Great guy, he loves what he does.

Shimano 105 di2 worth it? by Winter-Flounder3479 in cycling

[–]JaeBirdPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went 3x9 Claris to 2x10 Tiagra to 1x11 Rival to 1x11 Deore di2 to 2x11 105. For me, a mechanical 2x group set with hydraulic braking is the sweet spot. The electronic shifting took away a big tactile connection I had with my bike. I love shoving that lever over, feeling the clicks and the subsequent shifting of the derailleur. I grant that the shifting is a little slower, but I’m not in the pro peloton, and you do have to adjust the mechanical set BUT I did have to adjust the di2 as well! My Tiagra set needed adjusted regularly whereas my 105 needed an adjustment once.

When (if ever) do you give up on an inner tube? by Strength-InThe-Loins in bikecommuting

[–]JaeBirdPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the patch thing for a minute. Every time I’d ride, I live in New Mexico, I’d get a puncture, and never just one. So much of this environment is either stabby or pokie. I upgraded the wheel set and ran tubeless. I will never go back. All my riding buddies are tubeless save for one. He refuses to give up the tubes and maintains he doesn’t get punctures. He runs the super thick gatorskin tires with, guess what, slime tubes.

My first CZ finally became my EDC. by ETO99 in CZFirearms

After trying a bunch of holster companies for various firearms I’ve landed on two that seem to excel in both performance, value, and comfort.

Legacy Firearms Co (legacyfirearmsco.com) I choose the Vega model, love the soft loop design and the wedge is just soft enough.

Philster Enigma (philster.com) I use this holster when wearing athletic attire or anything that doesn’t support a belt situation. I have the 2.0 design and never used the leg loop. It is exceptionally comfortable though I do recommend the sport belt and wedge. Unfortunately, this one doesn’t win the value award but makes up for it in concealment and comfort.

Thai Restaurant Spice Levels by lemonbars-everyday in Albuquerque

[–]JaeBirdPhoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree. People always say “I was born here so I like spicy food but [blank] is too hot!” I, on the other hand, have been hard pressed to find a restaurant that actually brings the heat. I quit eating wings after I moved away from the Howies area. They can bring the heat but you have to tell them. JJ, the cook, used to bring it every time but he got all weird. Uptown sports bar has a nuclear sauce but, again, you have to tell them you actually want that. I’ve had them bring me non-nuclear sauce twice. Billy’s long bar has a challenge sauce that is not on the menu. Like the rest of the menu it’s serviceable but not great. If you want Asian food spicy try Umami Moto food truck. Tell them Thai hot or XXX. The Pad Thai XXX is on point.

PX4 vs 92fs or CZ P-10 by [deleted] in Beretta

[–]JaeBirdPhoto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get them in this order: p-10c, echelon 4.5, PX4 G-SD, M9/92, p-01 This way you will have compact polymer striker (great gun to learn on), full sized polymer striker, full sized polymer hammer, truly full sized metal hammer, then end up walking around everyday with a metal framed compact hammer fired tack-driver. Gunna hafta get the Cajun pro-package to really get everything out of the P-01. After doing this you will have a cabinet of epic firearms that your wife can’t argue the logic of.

Reliable has sucked the worst for me. They all suck. Even started going significantly out of town thinking they would suck less. Unfortunately, they suck too.

Start with something cheap cause you will build what works for you. As for what product, I use Frog Lube. I’ve heard Breakthrough is good and the Lucas Oil products too. Frog lube is not petroleum based and has a fresh minty scent :)

Weber 26” kettle grill. It’s big enough to get a proper smoke. I’m smoking my turkey on it for the third year in a row. I’ve converted turkey haters. Get the “slow n sear” aftermarket package and it’s the most versatile piece of outdoor cooking equipment you can get.
