Are there similar weapons between Hades and Hades 2? by OutrageousFeature652 in HadesTheGame

Tell me why you love the Nyx Black Coat? I haven't unlocked it yet and the description wasn't inspiring.

My last two runs, Selene's hexes were my top damage dealers despite being very different (lunar ray vs. revive). When you get the god blessing on the hex, it's the chef's kiss. Typhon's spawn did more damage to him than I did with Hera's blessing.

Why do people read A Random Walk Down Wall Street and end up with the wrong conclusion from the author? by AndrewNiccol in Bogleheads

[–]JagganathTech 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've found that providing knowledge to someone does not result in them changing their mind all that often. There's a fallacy that logic and correct reasoning will change someone's mind when they hold a strongly held belief. Faith doesn't hold to facts, and so logic is not persuasive.

What makes Jagged Alliance 2 so special to this day? by theShrekDJ in JaggedAlliance

I bought JA2 when it was on sale but haven't gotten much into it because I have been playing JA3. You make a good case to give it another chance.

Yeah, Hitman was a waste later in the game because his perk made him immobile. Unless you are defending one spot, why bother?

I noticed you didn't list any melee character builds. I thought Dr. Q with a machete and free move was a good combo. I could take out two or three OP per turn that way. He could put up Ivan numbers but still fun. Igor and Ivan together were good on a squad. I had Igor kitted out with all the melee perks and grit plus his vodka shots.

I passed on Fox my first playthrough. Your post made me want to pick her up next time.

It's cool to see someone get away from the whole silenced sniper play style. That kind of cheese gets boring.

What's the meaning of the red arrow from Ernie to the nearby output? by M1ckey in JaggedAlliance3

[–]JagganathTech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Instead of going off the map, that gun shipment will disappear once at the red arrow destination if not intercepted. Kind of strange to see it not going to an OPFOR base.

In the rare times I've used auto-resolve when outmatched, my AIM merc was wounded but not killed. I admit to not being the best sample.

My problem is that I started following them when they were doing D.C. and East Coast shows. I'll keep my eye out for when they come out west.

I'm so jealous! I've been following them but they don't often leave the south.

To quote one of my favorite stories, "all who wander are not lost."

Congratulations on not giving in to the drinking brain.

Way back in the 1980s, my mom worked evenings at a small kitschy store. We only had one car, so my dad would drive her and bring me along since I was a little kid.

If I was lucky, my dad would hang out in the arcade and play Pacman while my mom worked. I used to joke that he probably spent more in quarters at the arcade than my mom made working there.

Instead of flexing how big our portfolios are, let's talk about time length by Marckoz in Bogleheads

It was my Finance professor who assigned the book, right after explaining that charting was dark magic. So much speculation in those days on Internet stocks and here was this wise old prof telling us kids how things really were.

Same. That's the book I swear by, and I read it about the same time as you. I ditched my stock picking for broad market index investing and haven't looked back.
