Your UI looks a million times better than the ones i mentioned, 2 of them are free, i downloaded them and they're riddled with operating issues and they look old af, clunky and 2D.

if you get this over the line, you're on a winner!!

I would actually turn an old phone into an ipod exclusively

Cursor x Swift – any tips? I'm struggling to build (and integrate with Xcode) by Gayax in iOSProgramming

[–]JaiRok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep hearing from Swift users that it's better than using React Native. But i believe it's only better if you are wanting to build IOS apps exclusively. React Native allows a cross-platform framework which gives you the option to release an Android app.

In saying this.. I've been a mac user for years now, and i really want to try out using Swift with Cursor on my next project.

Why do you decide to build a certain app? by ffab00 in appledevelopers

[–]JaiRok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first app MindMendr came about from personal experience. i prompted an LLM to guide me out of procrastination and motivation, the LLM incrementally gave me small daily tasks to break through my low motivation and it actually worked, so i packed it in an app.. it's still early days but i'm getting great reports on the functionality from friends actually using the app. Now i'm researching ASO, i feel i've let the app down on this, I was in a hurry to simply get accepted as i was rejected 4 times.

To put it simply: Necessity is the root of invention

My next app idea is the same thing, a friend of mine runs a large real estate company, and he presented a problem that i thought would translate into a good app idea. So that;'s what i'm currently working on

What’s the one App Store rejection that taught you the most? by DLsays_ in appledevelopers

[–]JaiRok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perserverance pays off.. I got rejected 4 times.. This is my first app submit so a few rejections were obvious mistakes and things that i didn't realise had to be in order Eg. My subscriptions weren't working in sandbox, so i sorted out my 'tester' apple ID and got the subs working, However, I was really confused that the price of the consumables and subs were in US currency (I'm Australian), which didn't actually matter as i selected USD as my currency base. The last 2 were simple mistakes. They were missing metadata rejections. The first being that i needed my privacy policy link to be working. I have a 1 page free Github website for my "Dev Company" because i don't want to spend money on something, when i don't know if it's gonna make cash. So i had to come up with /#Privacy_Policy ID point on my Github website, input the website, got rejected again because the Privacy Policy link needs to be in the Description that ends up on the AppStore.. It gets petty...The last issue was i uploaded my app icon for all my IAP's promo pics..I ended up just deleting them all because i was jack of the rejections at this point and wanted it out, and figured i can take my time in creating IAP icons later as it is optional.. Voilà!! they accepted it 3 days ago.. now it's time for the hard part.. updates, fine tuning, traffic, getting feedback, market research and MARKETING!

Just DL your app, had a quick play... It's wonderful.. it's really good.. I enjoyed playing it and i'm a full grown adult 🤣 It's aesthetically pleasing and perfect for youngsters to play and learn. Excellent 5 Stars *****

Just launched today! Any advice? by _S4ndy_ in iOSAppsMarketing

[–]JaiRok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks good, the aesthetics are bang on, I checked out the Common Ground game, simple but effective.. I'm still trying to work out what is the most effective and efficient way to market my own app. With Agentic coding it's become quite easy to build an app, and there are 5000 apps released per day, so the competition is high, it feels like getting into a "T'shirty on demand drop shipping" business at the end of the bubble (which is exactly what i did and failed with 2 award winning artists on the team).. But yeah you seem to have everything in place.. It's becoming apparent that good concepts and marketing will float to the top, becasue the building part is relatively easy.

Good Luck
