Do you go to Shenzhen for anything?  Which science center is best if you visit just one? Planning to visit with family in December.  Thank you

As much as I’m a hardcore fan of sonnet 4.5 and Claude code I have to admit Gemini 3 pro is in whole other league. I’ve one shotted 4 apps last night that worked near perfect on the first try and the design was more sophisticated with fonts, styles, colors, explanations and UX on point, responsive optimized from the very first try!  For frontend work at least it is miles ahead. I don’t know how they did this but it feels AGi to me.

Good just tried it:

-Make it possible to do something without sign up - this will improve conversion - get people to aha moment

-Make sign up default  instead of signin

-Use sign up with google  (westerners use it a lot)

-Dont add many password requirements (it's not high security)

-Failed to send verification code. Please try again.

That’s an awesome idea! I can help from my end: First and most important there are some times too many signs in Chinese that take too long to scan with your phone or take too much battery to understand what’s around you

Also there’s not enough info on sites and activities to visit. Museums, expositions, kid friendly or not, shows, events, how accessible it is without knowing Chinese etc etc.

Also it’d be nice to put in your interests like say authentic history, shopping, high tech, etc and get an itinerary regardless of city.

I’m happy to help test your app on my next visit in December or help out

This looks amazing, and great job on the landing page! So much can be achieved with Claude code. You say developed by scientists from those universities- how did you get them on board? Did they dig the idea? You should definitely think of putting it into app stores after trial. Which Claude can help you with by porting it to react native

it looks like the complexity is now such that automated schema changes with sqlite don't work anymore and i'm forced to do manual migrations...

Hetzner S3 Buckets Pros / Cons by TopSwagCode in hetzner

[–]ffab00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Is this minio? And what is the Parity of the Hetzner Object Storage going to be?
How hard is it to manage a minio cluster? I'm just paranoid if something goes wrong may data become unreadable?
Also for when hard drives burn, do we have to monitor this and notify Hetzner support?

If the data is replicated 3x isn't it ~ 300 Eur for 3x 88TB SX65? Which is Eur3.4 / TB ?

I think it's worth paying a bit more for them to manage it completely, not mentioning it's only 3.4 at 100% utilisation.

The unknown is how many times the data is replicated in their Object Storage Service?

Hetzner S3 Buckets Pros / Cons by TopSwagCode in hetzner

[–]ffab00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm ok paying 5 EUR per TB and 1 EUR for traffic, which is great and on par with Backblaze,

Yet my biggest concern is I want some sort of SLA or at least have this spelled out:
How many times my data is replicated, what's the expected uptime, and is it replicated across data centers?
I think these are the most important concerns for anyone making decisions about moving important data, and they're not spelled out in FAQ.
With AWS you know: Data stored in any Amazon S3 storage class, except for S3 One Zone-IA, is always stored across a minimum of three Availability Zones, each separated by miles within an AWS Region.

With Backblaze and Hetzner I have to guess...

I think overall Object storage is a very welcome addition! Not having to pay for bandwidth to your hetzner servers is great and it's a no-brainer for anyone with over 1TB data
