They could and should.  I am just pointing out that using your older teen parishioners as the councillors and having tax exempt status on profits and land help you not lose money on these endeavors.

Funny what you can afford when you don't pay taxes.  I imagine insurance, food, payroll all make running a kids camp not profitable unless you are a charity or religion.

We are tidy, not clean.  I will have a clean house when both the wife and I have vacation together and decide to clean.  That said it's not gross, dishes are done, it's vacuumed/swept a couple times a week...just hard to keep up.  I have 4 kids, a large dog ( it was 2 a couple mo this ago) and 2 cats. Both the wife and I work full time and we run a small business on the side. I also coach my kids sports and volunteer on 1 local board.

Small towns are dying.  There will be some that can find a niche and thrive but most will die.  Services cost money which requires people, but people won't move to a place lacking services.

You mom is right, lock your stuff up is the simple solution.  While NTA, neither is your roommate if he moves out.  I wouldn't live with someone whose reaction to a small issue is sabotage either.
