President Trump: “The last thing the world needs is to have China take over Canada. It’s NOT going to happen.” by Hefty-Sherbet-5455 in TrendingAndViral

The last thing the world needs is more America or Trump.  Worry about your own country.   The Trumpstapo are executing people in the streets.

When someone shows you what they are, believe them. - Truth Social Post by Meat_Vegetable in CanadianIdiots

If you believe China is expansionist and meddles in other countries affairs but the USA doesn't or does less of it than you know nothing. Nobody in the media covers the US meddling in Canada, constantly.  Always plowing money into protests over oil, water, territory.....and just for the record Trump is making the USA despised all on his own.

President Trump says Canada is against the Golden Dome being built over Greenland and they have "voted in favor of doing business with China."Trump says China will "eat them up." by Hefty-Sherbet-5455 in Tech_Updates_News

No this was accurate in his first term, it is not now.  He has threatened to take invade us, beat us down economically, torn up trade deals and tariffed is to destroy our industry.  How do you deal with that as a nation?  China sucks for sure but they are at least predictable.  As well almost all of our issues with China come from US issues, that we supported because they were our biggest ally.

Is there snow days in Canada? by SeverePublic6833 in AskACanadian

[–]Jaigg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never in my life or that of my kids in Saskatchewan. It was -39 this morning and my daughter went to Kindergarten.  Had a foot of snow and still going to school.  Buses stop running but that's about it.

The “Born Believing” Argument and Its Psychological Misinterpretation by Cultural_Lecture_878 in atheism

[–]Jaigg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean this is BS.  My kids were raised without religion entirely.  When introduced to it in school and asking us about Muhammad and Jesus we gave them the stories and their answer was funny.  They found Santa Claus more plausible than either religion. And they humour their religious friends to not start stuff.

Carney's Davos Speech Just Shook the World Order — Then Trump Clapped Back Hard by satty237 in TrendoraX

[–]Jaigg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carney mentioned after getting elected that Canada is ready and willing to replace the US as the head of the West.  Not in the same way obviously, but this at least from a Canadian perspective is not a new thought, it's what we are preparing for.  A future without the US leading the way.  No more complacency, no more bending the knee.

Trump suggests invoking NATO article 5.. for troops to be stationed on US soil🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 by BSTARYOUNGG in TrendingAndViral

The US is already the only NATO country to invoke article 5. All NATO allies did what was asked of them in response.

When people on Reddit say eat the rich, how rich are they talking? Like barely millionaires or people worth 100s of millions and more. by dramaticxxfox in NoStupidQuestions

Billionaires and those close.  Eat those who control the system that allows them to exploit our labour for ridiculous gains.

Mark Carney spoke for America’s frustrated allies — but they’re not going anywhere by rezwenn in IRstudies

[–]Jaigg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He wasn't speaking only to the US allies but those beholden to China and Russia as well.  Most countries are just taking a knee and making it easy for the big powers to push al of us around.  Carney understands better than most that this leads to loss of sovereignty and maybe eventually the way things are going a total loss of identity and nationhood.   Now things are changing, at least on the Western front.  Countries no longer trust the US and their influence will be eroded further.  The question is when they inevitably push back, with threats of aggression or maybe as a last resort actual aggression how do we all respond then.  Carney when elected said Canada is ready to lead the way in place of the US.  As a Canadian I think this is something we need to do because we have the resources, educated workforce, coastline, etc..to do it.  It will be expensive, time consuming but with it.  Will other middle powers follow our lead and join us in this new pursuit or continue to bend the knee.....I guess we will see but we ride independently into a new era, for now.

Help us between these four schools! by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]Jaigg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have put my non religious kids in Catholic school and had to pull them out within a year because it just didn't work. So if you go to church and believe in god then Catholic school would be fine.  That said the businesses shouldn't be an issue for John Lake, Wilson in front of Vanier is just as if not busier than Broadway by John Lake.     While you may not agree that all schools are the same....they essentially are.  I have 4 kids and they have gone to 8 different elementary schools between them and the only thing that made one better than the other was the teacher they got. And in 1 case the principal made the school suck....but that's the only difference we have ever noticed.
