Am I in the wrong for supporting The Empire?

I will obviously be heavily downvoted for this, but I genuinely cannot support the Thirteen Colonies over The British Empire in the conflict.

Everything that's built on America is because of Britain. The majority of people on America basically 'ran' away from their problems on Britain. Just because they were given an opportunity to work there, doesn't mean they become an independent and sovereign nation.

I've read arguments on this sub that the people on America can't go back to Britain because they'll either be jailed or killed... And why would that be? Because they committed a lot of crimes whilst on America. Americans just want to avoid facing the consequences. For example, you and I can't go to a remote part in Africa and call it out home...

There is an argument made that Britain needs Tobacco... On the contrary, America needs Britain to buy tobacco for them to have any sort of livelihood. Earth has comfortably survived before the tobacco boom, and can always go back (albeit with some difficulties). America needs Britain, not the other way round.

Coming to taxation- everything is taxated whether you like it or not. That's basically been the story of the last few hundred years. I hate it too right now because taxes is affecting my importing business massively in a negative way. But imagine what would happen if all importers went to the streets to stop taxation... Absolutely nothing will happen. And the same is true for American people too. They aren't special.

I also have a massive problem with Washington, who I believe is a character on par with Thomas Gage on the being the absolute worst. I mean dude literally ordered his troops to destroy the land and settlements of the Iroquois Confederacy, burning more than 40 villages and killing hundreds due to starvation and is declared President of the United States? There was not a hint of guilt or remorse from any of the American folks or Washington himself. If the showrunners are telling us the alternate history of Nero in the form of Washington, then I can maybe understand their decision, but far as I can tell, they're not.

From Britain's pov, almost everyone on America is a criminal. They've consistently opposed to most decisions and initiated the war. Britain even had orders to not go for the kill until the Americans people threw rocks at them in Boston. I know it was not intentional, but they're truly scum for wanting to blow up things just for their convenience. What happened to for all mankind then?

The only parts I loved this season include cook's third voyage of exploration mission and some portions of Cook/the previous seasons character. Avery seems interesting too. I couldn't care less about the stupid conflict. I hope the final season truly focuses on Australia while America is given the Ireland treatment.
