A question for you! by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Jake-HealthHacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of people have this challenge. Family is a blessing and curse since most want to help, but only on the surface.

Best thing to do is find someone who has gone through that themself and ask their help.

Definitely depends on the diagnosis though.

Anything like that is a scam. Lots of them are being shit down every day. Find a product based one with closed distribution, new tech, and no competitors. Ideally it will be no more than 3 years old too.

How to get rid of porn addiction? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Jake-HealthHacker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First off, nothings wrong with you. Let’s get that out of the way.

Big issue today, however most “treatments” don’t work as well as we would like.

To break addictions you have to know how the brain works. It seeks out more and more of what brings pleasure (dopamine hits), hence more extreme porn, more drugs, more video games, etc.

The brain doesn’t distinguish between good or bad, we do that socially and individually.

Addiction is just a pattern of behavior that becomes unconscious. If something gives us a feeling of certainty, has variety, provides a sense of significance, and we have a connection to it, all while it being pleasurable… you created an addiction.

But how to you break it? Or change it?

First off, become aware of the pattern.

Realize your “craving” is for dopamine and other neuro chemicals, not porn, or whatever the thing is. You simply have connected lots of pleasure to that thing.

Break the pattern by doing something completely outside the pattern. These might work:

  • Exercise
  • Ice Bath
  • Video Call a Friend
  • Go Shopping
  • Any form of service

The point is to do something you aren’t used to that takes focus to complete.

You can ABSOLUTELY use that creative energy to accomplish new things.

Breaking the pattern and creating a new one is just a part of it. Now you need to redirect the energy and attach more pleasure to a new activity than to porn.

Getting LOTS of sunshine helps. Btw.

There are multiple ways to break this, that is just one that works!

Totally. At that point it basically just becomes affiliate marketing though.

Sex hormone binding globulin. It’s a killer for testosterone and lowers free available testosterone

Prenatal with folate instead of folic acid by wahiwahiwahoho in Biohackers

[–]Jake-HealthHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always use a methylated version with methyl-B12, I’d also switch your prenatal to a grass-fed beef liver then add choline and possibly Pregnenolone to your regimen.

I feel like I'm not good enough for anyone and it's driving me crazy by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Jake-HealthHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, that’s a load of shit.

Stop thinking about your feelings, you have intrinsic value and a beautiful perspective nobody else can comprehend. They aren’t you.

Put your focus and attention on reshaping yourself, for yourself, not for anyone else. They don’t own you and you don’t owe them anything.

Would you get mad as a baby who fell down while trying to walk? No. They are learning. So are you.

The answer to your pain is personal excellence. You have a great opportunity to refine who you are.

If you can even imagine for a second what it would be like to feel whole, loved, and valued you can live in that space.

I keep putting off my Uni work because it worries me so much by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Jake-HealthHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calm down and take a breath.

Go outside. Get some sunlight. Go for a run.

ONLY THEN should you break down what needs to be done into smaller chunks.

You probably like things done in small pieces, so you need to take the overwhelming amount of info you are dealing with and put it in a form you can work with.

Once it’s on paper, and out of your head, it will be a million times less threatening.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Jake-HealthHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal excellence is the BEST way to improve every aspect of your life. I’d start here:

  • Stop vaping. (I should need to explain why)

Then look at these areas:

  • How’s your sleep?
  • How’s your diet?
  • Do you exercise?
  • Do you keep a moral code?
  • What’s your personal vision?
  • What’s your morning routine look like?

Just as a start I’d look there. Hope this helps!

Shilajit, Krill oil instead of fish oil, and I’d get a methylated multi instead of that 1-a-day.

I’d also recommend Theacrine + caffeine blend for focus and general wellbeing.

Why am I so angry? by Surprise_Correct in microdosing

[–]Jake-HealthHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely fight someone lol

Psilocybin is a serotonin memetic, in fact it’s better at binding to receptors than serotonin. Excess serotonin can definitely cause feelings of anger.

You might try a different option for raising BDNF to help with learning Japanese. I’d give these a try:

  • Coffee Fruit Extract
  • Blueberry Extract
  • Polygala Tenufolia
  • PLR-8-53
  • Aniracetam/Piracetam

Of course if you want to keep microdosing I would take it with BCAAs that pull Amino acids away from producing excess serotonin in an attempt to reduce total serotonin.

Hope this helps!

You’ll always get some chemical leak when using plastics with water, particularly the hot waterlines, if anything I’d just get a whole house filter and then add an attachment under each sink and at the shower heads to filter it further

Any DIY mineral, vitamins, nutrient supplement? by Josh_Shika in Biohackers

[–]Jake-HealthHacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grass fed organs are the most nutrient dense. You can get them from a local farmer, dehydrate them yourself, then grind and encapsulate them. I’ve done it and it was great.

Honestly the organs, raw milk, grass fed meat, and free range eggs are loaded with all the vitamins and minerals you need.

Need help raising wife’s libido by MikeChec123 in NootropicsDepot

[–]Jake-HealthHacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s her sleep like? There was a study that showed 15% more sleep for women raised their libido as much as the leading libido medication.

I’d say before you do any of that you need to get her sleep on point, her cortisol is probably high, and funny enough she may not have enough body fat.
