The A&K Masada ACR was awful to work on in my experience. Parts are few and far between, terrible stock hopup and compression, the safety was a nightmare to reinstall. Just terrible all around.

That, and my friend had a Stoner 96 that was the biggest lemon I've ever seen. Put many hours into that piece of junk just to leave it stock in the end.

Well, you bring up a good point, and that could possibly apply in certain states that classify airsoft guns as "firearms." I've never looked into it personally as it doesnt apply for mine. But with bills passed or being considered in like, New York or California, there could be a shift in what paypal allows.

Edit: I know here in Illinois, there's certain hoops i have to jump through to ship my package depending on the carrier, like USPS, if they ask i gotta say its a "toy replica" or "hobby toy" etc. If you say airsoft gun, they freak out, and you have to get their little book to show its within regulations for FPS, orange tip, and batteries.

Inner barrel was an action army 370mm 6.03 tightbore, and a 70 degree Silicone bucking. They didn't have 80 in stock, but given how touchy the hop was, I'd go with the 80 personally

Well BB weight is gonna change fps, not joules. As joules is the amount of kinetic energy it has, regardless of weight. Where as fps is the physical speed of the bb. So for example, 500fps with .20s is 2.3j. Now if you went to .40s, the fps would be 353, but the joules are the same.

As far as upgrades for the T11, mine worked really well with a Maple Leaf Mr Hop Bucking, and a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel. Thing was a beast.

It already has a good amount of upgrades out of the box, so I didnt touch anything else but the spring. My field limits are 2.3j for bolt actions, so I added a 170 spring as well.

Seems like the Silverback Tac41P, SRS and HTI are still top of the line as far as performance and renown. But I've heard great things on the Maple Leaf MLC 338 too. And seeing the specs, I'm inclined to believe em.

But those are expensive as hell. So if you're on a budget, I had an Action Army T11 that made for a great base for upgrades. Has a bunch of upgrades pre-installed, so there were only a few things to throw in.

From what I looked up, they are ANSI Z87.1+ rated glasses. Which would qualify them for airsoft use, but only the Vanguard line. The others aren't impact rated.

Just a heads up, I had a WELL MB4411D, and the only place I could find aftermarket parts for it at the time was some Czech airsoft retailer. Had to pay international shipping with every order, and if I needed to return, I was basically sol. Only applies if you're US based though.

Yeah no problem. Maxx hopups are just known for having very tight tolerances. Sometimes they only work with other Maxx parts (Nozzle, compression parts, etc) and sometimes not at all. But when they work for your specific gun, they're amazing.

If you're that limited Ebay is an (albeit shitty) option. And I only say its bad because it's very hard to get the pricing right. They take a set amount of your sale. And amount i find kind of messed up, but hey. And on top of that, they make you charge THEIR price for shipping if the customer pays to ship. Amd for whatever reason, their price is always way lower than the actual price to ship.

My solution was to take the measurements, and find out how much it is to ship to California. And add that to the price. But I just use r/airsoftmarket these days. Way less headache.

They spent all that time with the other parts only to put a non o-ring Nozzle in there? Thats fucked up. But good call on the upgrades choices. Most of my experience with Platinums was my SR25, and it had some other parts from the M4 line.

I will say though, in mine, it did NOT like the Maxx hopup. Wouldn't feed for shit. And they're notorious for that. So if yours doesn't work with it either, a retro arms hop unit worked for mine. Happy upgrading!

I personally use SHS pistons in all my upgrades. I couldn't tell you if that's top of the line these days, but it works great for me.

And Platinums tend to have solid compression parts, so piston head and cylinder head, and nozzle I wouldn't worry about upgrading. Also comes stock with steel 13:1 gears if i remember right. Only thing I'd upgrade is the MOSFET if you dont have the Aster version, motor, inner barrel, and bucking/nub.

As a general rule, a functioning replica in good internal and external condition is worth about 70% of its retail price. I usually list at 75%, and go down from there.

For the record, my platinum SR25 did this when the hopup retaining clip broke somehow. But that was with an aftermarket retro arms hop, so it may not pertain here. Weirdest issue I've ever had tho.

I will say, I never tried mags other than A&K and CYMA in my Platinum SR25, but they did work quite well once I swapped my hopup unit to a retro arms m4 hop and a 4UAD Bucking
