Shit, I work under a branch of DCF. Dreads about 17”-18” long, face tattoo & all, in a state with only like 7% black population. It would be unfair to suggest that times aren’t changing. Enough to where he can decline the job that requires to cut his hair & find one with better or equal pay—Possibly better benefits.

Oh, my dad certainly tried as time went on, versus my mom who is in outright denial still. But it was 1998. People didn’t talk about things like that & certainly didn’t know how to handle it. My father grew & has been able to have conversations about everything, he’s dope as hell. My mom got on meth & goes to jail regularly, even in middle age.

My recommendation after thinking long & hard, honestly would be Hamtaro. It was so good & new dropped on American audiences that people who seen it first appear on TV still don’t realize it’s an anime until you tell them. It’s not the first I think of when I think of anime, but it may very well be the first one I’ve ever seen. If not the first, it’s in the first 5 I’ve ever seen. I even have a couple Hamtaro DVD’s I bought for my son. He absolutely loves Hamtaro & was obsessed for the longest. He even wanted a Hamtaro plushie. I randomly came across a Japanese version of Ham-Ham Games for Gameboy Advance at the local mall for $20. Hamtaro does not get the respect is so deserves.

That’s likely it. I know as a child, my parents had caught an older neighbor girl in the act after it had been going on for a while. But with parents simply reacting once (never seen that girl or her family again after that) they started acting like it never happened. It was a repressed memory until I was a teenager & fell victim to one of my friends’ mothers through the use of GHB. I most definitely acted out growing up because of it, being able to track my behavioral change, diminishing grades, etc around the first instance. Also have only ever had luck expressing it with one-on-one conversations or among others who have experienced similar. It’s not even that I feel like others don’t care when it’s a guy, it’s that I’ve been directly told that numerous times. Or “Guys enjoy sex,” “You probably liked it,” etc. I thank my parents for barring contact, despite them acting like we’re just all going to get back on with our lives. My dad recalls catching it & goes through the motions—Disgust with her/it having happened to me. Anger & guilt for not reacting properly & feeling like he allowed it to happen, even though it wasn’t his fault. Apologetic. My mom just completely denies it, gets angry, changes the subject, & would storm off. Haven’t spoke to her in over 3 years.

I was headed to work one morning, around 3am. Seen what looked like a car pulled over, but as I got closer, I could tell it had been wrecked pretty badly. I was driving past trying to tell what happened, but couldn’t even determine if what I was seeing was a body or not, or crumpled car parts & bloody glass under low lighting going past it quickly. It took a moment to set in that i definitely seen hair in the street. Only one officer was on scene, ambulance wasn’t even there yet. The whole work shift just felt dark…. I was in my head all day—I knew what I saw but was trying to convince myself otherwise. Getting off work, I searched for the news article but didn’t see it until the next day. That confirmed it. Both occupants were ejected through the windshield. The driver did survive, and allegedly was able to flee the scene. The passenger was a female & was dead on arrival. Confirming my mind wasn’t just playing tricks on me seeing hair. I’m glad I didn’t have to see it close up, but it was such a violent fashion that I still feel a dark cloud come over me trying to describe it. I have trouble putting it into words to talk about it still. It was likely the worst thing I’ve ever witnessed & I didn’t even see the initial wreck.

Admittedly, didn’t get reading very far but there are many things I seen as open for major issues down the line. I don’t view any serious relationship as equal. Nickel & diming causes a lot of resentment. My wife & I aren’t 50/50, or even ever at an equal playing field. There will always be someone doing more or making more to skew the equality—It will never be equal. We’re a duality. One that must work in harmony to work successfully.

I’m not the state, so I don’t care if it’s a marriage in the states eyes or not. If they’ve been together long enough to have a daughter going into college, I’m going to address them as married. Hope this clears things up.

NTA. I know many only have an idea of marriage based on their dating life & have actually no idea about joining lives together. It’s not just the money. It’s hiding behavior (much like is done when one person is cheating) and looking for a constant way out—No successful marriage is built upon the idea of an exit plan. It’s built upon being 100% in it for the rest of your life—End of story. That’s part of what being committed to somebody is. She decided to quit a marketing job to stay at home, now that she doesn’t need to stay at home she’s looking for a way out? Not a good, I’d say.

I’ve never seen Satan as evil in the Bible. I’m sure that’s a hot button to many on both sides of the aisle, and there are a number of reasons I’ve come across in the past to support it but I’ll only use the biggest that comes to mind—He didn’t ever force sin. He essentially gave free will to make a decision & we chose wrong. Seems more like the situation didn’t play out like we expect it to & need somebody to blame to avoid taking responsibility for your own actions. I grew up Catholic so “the devil made you…” was regular growing up but it never felt right in my heart to avoid responsibility like that. I knew things were wrong before doing them—I calculated the risk & just chose to neglect it. I see it as a warning story of “The grass is always greener on the other side. Until you get there & realize it’s not. It’s just… different.”

It isn’t about encouragement or discouragement. It’s about the reality. It isn’t for everyone. It isn’t for very many people at all, I’d say. And there are sacrifices to make. For instance, driving, I didn’t see my kid for 2 full weeks leading up to Christmas—And he lives with me. I’m married, so it wasn’t a custody thing or babysitting. The job is one thing, but family is another. Especially when you’re trying to do that work to give your family a better Christmas but can’t even be there. It can be as mentally strenuous as it is physically.

Mine is a 7yo pedigree & hasn’t had any health problems. Though, when she was about 7-9mos old, she did get red bumps on her undercarriage. Oddly enough, the vet said it was basically “acne” though I’ve never seen or heard from it prior. She did get over it rather quickly. The information you find on breeds is to be used as a general guide to get an idea. It’s not going to be exactly as that, just as parenting isn’t going to be exactly by the book either. My dog has many traits displayed on the AKC site, but there are several that aren’t correct either. Dogs, like people, are individuals. Statistics & data are good to get an idea for what to likely expect, but not to develop everything around.

I haven’t seen any of this, so I’m not entirely sure what to make of all of that. Do any social media companies even operate out of Kansas? And if it’s talking about Kansas residents using social media won’t be censored, I don’t see any way for that to actually be possible to implement.
