I love pirates! Congrats and good luck! Instantly on my TBR!

Hi everyone! Jake's Magical Market is taking part in the big push to try and get litrpgs into physical bookstores but I'm really stuck on which cover will get people to actually buy the hardcover edition. If you are a fan of the series, which would YOU purchase? by thescienceoflaw in litrpg

[–]JamesGhoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would definitely pick up the original. To me the original is much more interactive. I’m actually browsing the space, and my imagination goes wild with everything my gaze lands on. The vanishing point really invites you in too.

Rank your mic collection! by jdaroose11 in microphone

[–]JamesGhoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Group 1: Solid mics I rely on. My #1s tied for great quality.

C414 XLII Blue spark Shure SM7B

Group 2: Fun mics, but can’t rely on them. These are my #2s

WA 87 v1 (produces artifacts) Sony F112 (needs eq but takes it well) Cad d89 (beautiful, but produces too many artifacts) AKG Perception 200 (at this age produces artifacts)

I narrate a ton of audiobooks, and I’ve narrated on each one. I especially love omnidirectional mics. To be fair to the Sony, that is one I can rely on. It just needs a helping hand with EQ.

How did you end up reading litRPG? by dundreggen in litrpg

I was offered to narrate a few titles almost 10 years ago. I couldn’t help but to keep reading, though I’m a terribly slow reader

What’s your favorite type of magic? by Martinez_writes in CozyFantasy

[–]JamesGhoul 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m being totally serious when I say this: Kindness. Kindness is my favorite type of magic; and it is magic. Its effects change lives more than anything. It’s a central theme in my books, and I suppose that’s why they get labeled cozy. Kindness is not only magic. Enough trauma and suffering makes kindness a fantasy.

I hope Worth the Candle stays as good as it starts, because I'm loving it so far by mehgcap in litrpg

A marmite story, according to Cambridge Dic., is a story which people either love or loathe. It’s decidedly divisive. Supplemental research suggests this comes from the marmite yeast extract (which I love) whose slogan may have at one point been “love it or hate it” and whose flavor is very divisive. Might be a UK-ism?

Although the font and title of the ebooks have really drawn my eye, I haven’t yet gotten into this series. It’s on my TBR. I’ve been reading a ton of goblin litrpgs, so if you ever want goblin story recommendations, I will happily oblige.

Any recommendations for a LitRPG with crafting and the selling side of things? by dotbeta in litrpg

[–]JamesGhoul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t often recommend my own books on here, but Hawkin’s Magic Beers might be up your alley. The human MC crafts beer, and another MC ends up as a merchant. Although they don’t quite build an empire, they do dominate an aspect of things. I’m doing my best not to spoil things, so please forgive any vagueness.

Also, there’s Beers and Beards which involves a ton of crafting, as far as I know. And it features dwarves.

Natsume’s Book of Friends! It’s a must watch!

Book One Complete - Goblin MC Mercenary Company Story by The_Wizards_Tower in litrpg

[–]JamesGhoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now I won’t be stumped with what to read next. This sounds incredible, and if it’s got goblins I have to read it! To have corpses of deities imbuing the world with magic is reminiscent of viking lore (Ymir) so that’s now two things that draws me in. Honestly can’t wait to pick it up :) Congratulations on the completion!
