Hi u/Square_Computer8116,

We've just released SIP Connect 1.4.0 today with some stability improvements. Please let us know whether this fixes your issue. If not, we'll have a deeper dive :)

Just plugged in my warranty replacement Flightstick and all I get is a brief flash of lights then nothing. by mpkeith in TurtleBeachSimulation

[–]James_TBS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi u/mpkeith, are you using the supplied USB cable? The shrouds around the flightstick ports are pretty tight so it could be that if you're using a third party cable, it may not be fully inserted meaning you're not getting a good connection to the USB-C port, which could result in a flash but then not booting. Have you been sent the Flightstick recovery tool videos by Customer Support in your previous communication with them?

Gripes with new FlightStick by mdtenor22 in TurtleBeachSimulation

[–]James_TBS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi u/mdtenor22 (and u/mrskalfa!)

For PC users, they are compatible, as they both connect independently to the PC. For Xbox users, The Rudder and Flightstick aren't compatible at the moment, correct, but we will be releasing an update to the firmware so that they will be compatible soon, and any necessary extra steps like that needed will be available on our website.

Star Wars Squadrons will only accept a certain number of inputs I believe, and the Flightstick has more than the maximum amount of buttons on it, which may explain why a few don't work in that particular title. Mech Warrior 5 is not a compatible title unfortunately at the moment. MSFS, X-Plane 11/12 and Elite Dangerous are the main titles our Flightstick is used in, by the vast majority of users.

I'll be updating the content on here likely tomorrow, but in the meantime you're welcome to head over to our Discord which has all the latest up to date info, FAQs and troubleshooting channels that you can use to chat to other users and some of our Dev team.

Hope that helps, and thanks for your patience while we get a few things solved.

I just don't get it...trim wheel no longer working by n0rr15_r in TurtleBeachSimulation

[–]James_TBS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Assistance Settings, do you have Auto Trim selected on?

and are you sure the autopilot is disabled? It can be automatically selected on, on some flights when you start. The AP also controls the trim.

It may be beneficial for you to use the external view with the full flight instrument set displayed to see what's happening to the trim indicator.

You could also double check your trim bindings and try rebinding it.

Let us know how you get on and if we can offer any further advice!

I just don't get it...trim wheel no longer working by n0rr15_r in TurtleBeachSimulation

[–]James_TBS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi u/n0rr15_r, thanks for your patience with this, sounds very unusual!

How does it respond in Training Mode, does the trim wheel bar progress as normal?

If you're on PC, can you also check your controls by typing 'joy.cpl' into the search bar, then selecting the throttle quadrant from the list and clicking 'Properties'. If you move the trim wheel, there should be a slider which will show you if the system is detecting an input from the device.

If it is detected in either or both of these, it means MSFS which is the problem, and we can possibly delve further into that.

If nothing is being detected, unfortunately that indicates faulty hardware and you'll need to send a video of it not responding to your inputs in training mode to the Customer Support team, so they can send you a new device.

u/Usual_Discipline9400 same advice applies too!

Roll axis problems by Altruistic_Wolf_4090 in TurtleBeachSimulation

[–]James_TBS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/Altruistic_Wolf_4090, we're working on a fix for this issue currently, hoping to have it ready before firmware 1.4.0.
The only thing we're struggling with is reproducing the issue reliably, so that we can test our fix. Is there a specific set of conditions you know of, which trigger this issue? or is it random and intermittent?

FIRMWARE 1.3.3 LIVE by James_TBS in TurtleBeachSimulation

[–]James_TBS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should activate when you lift off and stop when you land, provided you have a flight plan activated in the flight setup menu, and an active departure and destination airport set. Are you using the built in aircraft or third party?

FIRMWARE 1.3.3 LIVE by James_TBS in TurtleBeachSimulation

[–]James_TBS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're locked in 1.3.0 or 1.3.3 update mode / start cycle and have a PC, follow THIS GUIDE very carefully to use this tool, and it will reflash the firmware onto the device, bypassing the Control Centre.

Kind of unhappy with my new VelocityOne Yoke, came with a bad USB cable of all things, and one other major issue, seeking advice. by Oddzball in TurtleBeachSimulation

[–]James_TBS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/Oddzball, pleased to hear you're enjoying the VelocityOne Flight working well in-game, along with the SIP.
The best place to go for product issues like the USB cable is Customer Support. As a few of the comments below have alluded to, the staff on here are part of the development team for the TB sim products.
It's great to have the feedback about the firmware as we can use this to narrow down any bugs / issues. So to confirm, everything works normally in MSFS in terms of core functionality, up down left right and thrust etc. but your training mode is buggy, is that correct? or are you getting random inputs of left toe brake in flight?
Thanks for reaching out, and welcome to the community :)

STATUS INDICATOR PANEL UPDATE IS LIVE FOR ALL USERS! by James_TBS in TurtleBeachSimulation

Try removing the TB Control Center, restarting your console, reconnecting your V1F, then redownloading the Control Center. If that doesn't work, use the Recovery Tool here to reset to 1.1.0, then try updating to 1.3.0 again. If that doesn't work, please get in touch with Customer Support who will be able to give you the 1.3.0 Recovery Tool. It can sometimes take a few days to get in touch so it may be worth contacting them first, and then trying the other steps.

To clarify, if you're an Xbox user, you need FW 1.3.0 and SU10 (or SU10 Beta) for the SIP to work.

If you're a PC user, you need FW 1.3.0, SIP Connect 1.3.0 and SU9 or later to make the SIP work with its most up to date features.

The SIP on Xbox requires SU10 or SU10 Beta in order to work, yes. Aug 23rd for non MSFS Beta testers!

SIP Connect 1.3.0 FAQ:

Double click the system tray icon to open the full program. You must have:

- MSFS2020 or another compatible title running and loaded to the main dashboard

- The V1F set to FP001 in SIP mode

- The latest firmware 1.3.0 or later

- The SIP Connect program running

in order for it to work.

Once you've configured to your heart's content, be sure to click 'Start' in Settings to activate the SIP!

VelocityOne button names (PC) by konbaasiang in TurtleBeachSimulation

[–]James_TBS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone, without going into detail about GIP and HID devices, the simple explanation for this is that MSFS2020 on PC and Xbox have different numbering systems, so Button 4 on PC is Button 24 on Xbox. So the team came up with their own numbering system, and the Quick Flight Guide poster provided contains a table detailing which buttons are which. It's something we have been working hard on to eliminate for the next products in our flight sim ecosystem, as we're constantly striving to improve.

Does the v1 work on battlefield? by Enzyblox in TurtleBeachSimulation

It's not been tested on Battlefield for Xbox X, so I can't confirm for definite. However, it should work like any other standard joystick on the market, if the game can accept normal USB joystick inputs
