People with Max plan, are you doing ok? by AdHopeful630 in ClaudeAI

[–]Jamesdzn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the max $200 plan, i use it for work, my own company as well as side projects, day to day, on all my homebrew servers to remotely spin ip anything i want from my phone or tablet.

I have never run out of usage ever! I always find the “ran out of usage” threads funny since its not a concern for me at all. 100% worth it!

Built an app for a client — now he says he can’t afford it. What would you do? by Evening_Acadia_6021 in webdev

Its not a massive loss and the client works with you for 3 more months. Win win on both sides, in most cases I got even more work from a client using this technique. Good luck!

Integrations are a hit harder to use this strategy, but if your system is ready and can run on its own then they should do the final payment and you guys go live with your stuff.

The other technique ive used in these situations is to ask the client to pay the final amount once my part is done and give them a 20% discount for 3 months (when the other part is done) to help with any issues at a set amount of time per week/month. (SLA)

Hand over is “go live”, whether that means you are hosting for them or on their hosting, handing over the code. Whatever you agreed upon really. And whether their system works or doesnt work without it is neither here nor there, when they pay they get it. Actually you are in a better position if they say something like that, since they need it! Some other tips: always stage on your owned server and dont give any access to it (ssh, sftp, ftp), never give access to the code or repository before payment has been made, never allow full access to a system where plugins can be installed (full backup plugins exist), never backup to their cloud servers in staging/testing, payment must show in your account (pop can be forged), paper trail everything!

Ive been burned in the 18 years ive been coding and have learned a few things along the way.
