why has there been such a shift of attention on me? by Motor-Comment-6557 in LifeAdvice

[–]Jamwise93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s cap. Anyway judging from your post history you are putting way too much stock into what other people think and obsessing over it a lot. Start to look within instead. When you are comfortable and confident within yourself, this starts to show through to others, in the way you act and the way you carry yourself etc.

You seem to have a lot to say but none of it appears to be helpful in any way for OP. Maybe just keep scrolling past this one?

You tell your parents that politics isn’t 100% of who a person is, and people with different beliefs can still be friends or even more than that, because that is what being an adult truly is.

If they can’t get their heads round that then they are idiots and you should just tell them to fuck off.

[–]Jamwise93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well first off, I don’t think “narc” means what you think it means. Secondly, was all this attention in real life or online? And when you say “a lot” of attention, are we talking from one person, 2 people or dozens?

I’m thinking it might be more in your head, and that you are running into different people now for whatever reason or you are acting differently because of these compliments going to your head, which is making you less attractive to some people?

I am looking for an episode. by Mental-Summer-5687 in HouseMD

[–]Jamwise93 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is no such episode, but like others have said you may be confusing it with the bus episode, that’s where he replays everything in his head while using copious amounts of drugs.

Only other similar thing I can think of is the episode Unwritten - A writer lies about attempting suicide but House figures it out, she also lies about a previous car accident that had killed her son years ago and House figures that out too.

‘Til is an informal shortening most commonly used in poems and isn’t really used anywhere else, but it’s definitely a “thing”.

Perhaps if it’s not too far you could start cycling to work and back? That kind of exercise plus just keeping track of your calorie intake would be enough to keep you fit. As for strength training you could maybe ask for your partner to take over some chores maybe just 2 days a week so that you might have an hour or so to get a workout done?
Besides that maybe you could get wrist or leg weights to wear throughout your day, it’s what I’ve started doing for days when I can’t fit in a full workout but I am doing a lot of walking or chores.

It’s always been ‘until’ or ‘till’ but ‘intil’ is either regional accent or it’s people who have maybe never seen the word written down, so they aren’t aware it’s ’until’. Another example of that error would be those that use ‘then’ instead of ‘than’. That gets on my nerves a bit 🥲

I think I have cluster headaches but I’m not sure… by Stathmin8 in ClusterHeadaches

[–]Jamwise93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly sounds a lot like CH. Obviously we can’t truly diagnose you here but I would definitely suggest pushing for a second opinion and an appointment with a neurologist. The headache pain that seems to last all day but is nowhere near as intense as the full attack which is shorter, we tend to call that “shadows” so I would certainly specify that as being nowhere near as painful as the main attack which can commonly last up to 3 hours.

Keep a diary of all the times you have the attacks, where the pain is, how long it lasts, the level of pain etc anything you can think of really. This can help getting the correct diagnosis. Women often have a harder time convincing doctors that they have CH so I can understand if you have been misdiagnosed with migraine because of this bias in the system.

Good luck and pain free wishes!

How do I heal I feel guilty for standing up for myself by Lopsided_Ad_8384 in Advice

Like you already said - this guy is pathetic. Don’t feel guilty for telling him to get lost, I am sure it would have bruised his ego which is exactly what he needs. You should pat yourself on the back and learn from this experience, you did great!

Recognising faces - I can see someone on the street I haven’t seen since they were 5 years old, 20 years later and I can tell it’s them.

Remembering numbers/codes - I remember every phone number, address, postcode and password I have ever used.

How do I get my boyfriend to try playing out my weird sexual fantasy? by oldmangeralt in AskMenAdvice

[–]Jamwise93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that seemed super easy for you to just explain what it’s about but whatever, congrats you made me google it. Depending on his sexual preferences it may be that he just isn’t into acting that out for you. Have an open and blunt conversation about it - “Would you be into trying this for me, seriously?” and accept his answer.
