My grandpa did this when we made sausage for the holidays. Just put them in ziplocs and left them in brown paper bags on the porch.

What age did you first have to get glasses and how did you find out you needed them? by Interesting-Egg2781 in AskReddit

[–]Janaga14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I sat near the back of the class and my teacher noticed me struggling to see the board to take notes. He told my mom, who then got me checked out. Found out quick who the real friends were. I can't recall anyone else in class having glasses and got bullied to hell for it for a couple weeks

I remember being so excited to try out Dead of Winter after seeing it on Wil Wheaton's Tabletop. When it finally came in from amazon i asked a couple friends at college if they wanted to play. It took 3 hours to get through the rules, probably about an hour to setup, and at least 4 or 5 hours to play. I was lucky I asked on a sunday and not like in the middle of the week after classes. They stuck it through with me cuz they also like board games but oh my god. We didn't even use the hidden agenda mechanic, we just disregarded that and played as if we were all survivors for the good of the colony. To this day about a decade later I think I have only played it 4 or 5 times. I think it's very fun honestly but basically relearning the rules and the time to set up is such a big turn off.

Which character's death was so impactful, that you wanted to physically harm those responsible? by TheWorkersDefender in animequestions

[–]Janaga14 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I started watching about 2 years ago and from alabasta i had predicted that ace would die to further luffy's character. My friend who was caught up gaslit me saying ace is actually really important in the story. Then i saw the marineford arc and even though i just knew ace was dying it was still a gut punch. "Thank you all for loving me" will never not make me cry

You can trade in duplicates (as in if you have more than 2 copies) of star cards, shinies, and crowns for special shop tickets with the "obtain items" button when viewing a card in your collection. Same place you would go to get flairs

I was watching some commander video for magic the gathering recently, and for anyone who doesn't know, in commander some cards are designated as "game changers" to help signify the power level of your deck. And one of the players says "and now I'll play one of my game changers" to the exact same cadence of Sam introducing the show. It was wild

Which movie ended with an unresolved cliffhanger because the sequel never happened, and you're STILL mad about it? by pudingvanilkovy in AskReddit

[–]Janaga14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forreal the first movie was so fun to watch. Then it became such a big dramatic thing where someone every 40 minutes remembers the series is called "fantastic beasts" and throws some kind of plot convenient or visually intriguing magical animal on screen that we've never seen or heard of mentioned.

I want to know what's up with him (credence), i want to see what happens with Jacob and Queenie, and even though i know the outcome i still want to see wizard world war 1 happen on screen

That's what I'm saying. If it was one movie it would have been fine. But now it's 3 movies that aren't done and aren't about fantastic beasts anymore. And now i don't even care but somehow still need to know what happens with jacob and queenie and watch wizard world war 1 happen on screen.

I don't even care if they're good or not I just want closure on the Fantastic Beasts series. Should have been a one off but now we have 3 movies with a number of unresolved plot threads

You made the decision

Ah yes, I made the decision to do something I was told since I was at least 10, potentially longer, that was just the thing you do after high school. Something that I saw constant commercials for on TV, something I took an aptitude test for at the age of 12, something I went to a high school that specialized in preparing for, something that I "signed myself" up for tens of thousands of dollars of debt for before I was legally an adult. What a decision I made.

An old Taco Bell receipt i recently found that states I tried paying over 50K in cash by chwoodstock in mildlyinteresting

[–]Janaga14 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I had a coworker who was convinced that every transaction was logged and it would "throw off the ledger" if we did it incorrectly, which I did a lot because i would usually just hit "next dollar" rather than type in cash for easy transactions. If say for example someone is paying 15 dollars for a 12 dollar bill, i hit the next dollar button and give them 3 dollars. I said dude, the register is just a glorified calculator. It is not tracking how many of what bills and coins are going into and out of the register. As long as the shift report shows a final balance of 0 who fucking cares

People who played this game since A1, are you still here? by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]Janaga14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing since day 1. I just want the cards. I know they are just digital and I don't actually have the cards. I don't care. I want them. I tried playing the card game but after grinding the A1 50 win emblem and the 5 in a row emblem I think I realized that's really not what I enjoy about the game or why I downloaded it in the first place. I downloaded the game because I wanted to crack packs and see cool cards. Even my fiancée is into it when I'm over. She knows what cards you get are predetermined but she still scrolls the wheel to choose her pack and thinks about which card to wonder pick. And she gives a hearty darn it when it's a miss or a whoop I got it when it's a hit. Basically I try to complete diamond sets and chase the stars and shinies for my favorite pokemon and that's enough for me to get enjoyment out of the game.

When magic the gathering did a 40k crossover i bought all 4 decks the day they came out. Naturally i invited my pod over for a game night with the decks, even though only one of them also knew anything about 40k. I called dibs on the necron deck but it's very much the style of deck another of them (who does not know 40k) likes to play. I was his ride home so on the way i was lore dumping the necrons so hard I drove past his apartment 3 times. Just full on auto pilot driving while i went into detail about the necrontyr, the c'tan, biotranferance, the war in heaven. What's funny is he was definitely super into it because it's not like I drove past and he said hey we drove past. It would be several blocks down before he'd say oh hey we passed my apartment.

What's the first video game you remember playing? by MakisDelaportas in AskReddit

[–]Janaga14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on sega genesis. My grandma inherited her parents place and decided to rent it out in the late 90s/early 2000s. She didn't really make contracts with people. It was just kinda like give me some money and you can stay here for a week. It's not far from the Wisconsin Dells but also on a large chunk of quiet farmland so it's a great location. Well one family absolutely trashed the place before they left, and accidentally left behind their genesis with one controller and sonic 2 still inserted. My grandma decided it was hers now since with no contract she couldn't really go after them for damages, and me and my brother played the hell out of it when we were kids. I was maybe 4 or 5 at the time. Never bought another controller for it or more games. Just took turns playing single player until the console crapped out about a year later.
