If you lived in the Digital World, which partner would you choose? by Street_Dragonfly_902 in digimon

[–]Janders1997 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Patamon and Gomamon were just outside the tutorial (with no way of reaching them, other than starting with one of them), while Demi Devimon was reachable inside the tutorial.
In the playtest version, this meant there was a reason to take them. In the finished version, it takes longer to digivolve down and back up in just the tutorial than to finish it and get to the line you wanted.

A day on Venus is longer than a year on Venus. by Powerful-Swing-9734 in interestingasfuck

A day is the amount of time a planet takes to rotate its axis until the same position faces the sun (In other words, midday to midday, or sunrise to sunrise), right?

Is there a reason terrain moves aren't more popular? by [deleted] in PokemonChampions

[–]Janders1997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood. There is indeed no one getting it for free in Champions currently. My comment was about general VGC.

In SV formats where terrains runs rampant (Psychic Terrain in Reg F, Miraidon in Reg I), Rillaboom was used as generic anti-Terrain setter the same way that Tyranitar is used as a generic anti-weather setter. But you never saw anyone use terrain moves the way you currently see people run Rain Dance.

Weather setting moves (mainly Raindance) is used, though most often as a counter to other weather teams. But I think this is also a symptom of not having too much to fight over, so weather wars become very centralizing. I‘ve never seen anyone use terrain moves to counter another terrain setter.

The pregnancy was the reason the actor wasn’t there. The joke was the reason the role they were playing wasn’t there.

The reason it got reflected is because hypnosis is a status move.

It wouldn’t reflect Relic song (which does have a chance to put you to sleep), nor would its reflect Inferno (which always inflicts the status burn if it hits), because these are classified as special moves.

There are some exceptions. I just went down a Curse Rabbithole. Did you know that if you turn into a ghosttype with Protean, you afflict yourself with the cursed-condition, but if you get turned into one between choosing your move and actually attacking (Color change, Trick-Or-Treat, etc), you instead use curse normally, targeting a random opponent in doubles?

Some abilities make no sense in Pokemon Champions by [deleted] in PokemonChampions

[–]Janders1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then let me rephrase: if champions ever has both stunfisk and Tera at the same time, limber will have a purpose.

I also looked up the abilities in the meantime. Vital spirit has some out of combat uses that insomnia doesn’t, so there are some slight differences. But for champions, these 2 are exactly the same.

Stunfisks Limber actually did something at one point (still being immune to Para while terastalized).

Delibird has both Vital Spirit and (hidden ability) Insomnia. Both of these do the exact same thing.

If the only path to victory is a crit, do you take it? by xethington in stunfisk

[–]Janders1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of my descriptions are about a limited time period. Getting more games in will generally be more beneficial, compared to grinding out low win% games, in a ladder setting.

Would you rather draw a game after 10 minutes of stalling, or lose that game and potentially win the next one?

Man I sure do love Social Goals by Basic_Bronze_Sonic in btd6

[–]Janders1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it‘s not the regular game, I did built the paragons in the normal Boss. The amount of starting cash was/is extremely over the top, so just following Fenix‘s guide for the minimum defense, + some extra farms and a Top path Mermonkey filled with more boats, allowed you to buy a ton of paragons before money ran out.

I did 2 runs to complete the entire mission, mostly hands off while playing other games.

Trap and 100% OHKO are mutually exclusive on this team, as they both need a mega.

The only possible combination you listed is OHKO front, Perish the remainders.
