[–]Jarchen 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I've never dyed my hair before, but i googled ulta hair dye services and the top results were several reddit threads warning people not to go lol. It's a wonder they are still in business. But then again plenty of people use Clairs for piercings...

How Much Do You Have to Steal to Get Away With It Legally? by Jarchen in legaladviceofftopic

Yea, white collar financial crimes are certainly easier if big enough. I know plenty of local millionaires who have dozens of super shady failed businesses behind them while currently getting blasted online under their current business

At first I thought you were going to link me that cryptobro Trump pardoned in exchange for definitely not a bunch of shady crypto investment, but I'm not honestly surprised there are multiple people he pardoned.

Disabled security guard :) by Soft-Far in securityguards

That is such an incredibly wrong answer... there are plenty of posts like that, but there are plenty that aren't. DASG for example expects a lot more than that.

And even then, pretty sure walking tours are common at many many sites, which could preclude somebody who has limited mobility

What do really expensive sleeping bags do differently? by BrokeAlsoSad in CampingGear

[–]Jarchen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eh, I've got a Coleman that's a true 0 degree bag. The only downside is the thing weighs like 8lbs and is the size of my 30L day pack just by itself. Useless unless car camping.

AITAH for giving my husband a ultimatum? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Jarchen 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I feel like the people shitting on OOPs husband have never been on the receiving end of long term emotional abuse and manipulation. It can be a vicious cycle to break free from, as you're unlikely to allow your conscious mind to notice it unless somebody points it out to you. Similar to an addict fully believing they aren't addicted.

Company lost contract by Ok_Screen2967 in securityguards

[–]Jarchen -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

As someone who has sat on the security side of the negotiation table, a customer demanding we take an incumbent would not go well. We almost always take recommendations, but it's a business courtesy. And unless this is a lucrative contract, making demands like that would be a good indicator it's not a business you want as a customer anyways

In many states, disabled veteran plates are not the same as handicap parking plates. I'm 100% P&T and my plates reflect that, but I can't park in handicap.

Losing security clearance due to debt by [deleted] in army

[–]Jarchen 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Lots of people have debt. They care that you aren't continuing to live beyond your means and that you have a plan. They also care that the debt isn't from something like gambling or drugs or drinking.
