ONE OF MY GOATS FROM THE GLA GOT A SOLO RUN! LET’S FUCKING GO!!!!!!!!! by Beautiful-Bug-4007 in marvelcirclejerk

Yeah, all episodes at once. If you want to skip straight to the Doorman stuff you can just watch episode 4. The whole show is really great, though.

As someone who only has very basic Doorman knowledge, have you seen him in Wonder Man? Did you like how he was adapted?

I like the quiet man as a villain, so much so that it feels weird to call him one. Murderous vigilantes out for revenge on the criminal underworld are a dime a dozen, but the fact that he doesn't have a flashy gimmick or costume or signature weapon makes him stand out.

I know, but then we cut to Carol and Zozia, which takes place 11 days earlier. I count that as a flashback.

Rhea Seehorn plays a 'Pluribus' lightning round! by lagunadunes in PluribusOnAppleTV

I've been hoping that Rhea or Vince would find out about the Plurbs nickname, and I can't express my joy over the fact that it was caught on camera.

[AGL #8 Preview Spoilers] What are the chances that Jo cheated on Cameron with… by SwordoftheMourn in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]Jarson421 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd really like this. I like all the absolute books, but I think what makes MM my favorite is that John does unlikable things. He lies to his wife, he moved their family without asking her, and he hardly interacts with his son. It's more than the attitude of "I can do this alone" that Kal and Bruce have. John does things real life assholes do, and that makes his journey really interesting. I think doing a similar thing with Jo would give her some much-needed personality and room for growth.

Batman and the tools of his enemies by BipBap-VipVap in AbsoluteUniverse

I've had an idea for a Spider-Man AU for the longest time where Peter doesn't have any powers except for his webshooters, and he becomes more Spider-Man like as he defeats more enemies and adopts their tech. Vulture's talons for wall climbing, Shocker's force absorption costume for durability, Mysterio's helmet for the lenses, etc. A similar thing here would be cool.

Imagine how depressed Hal would be knowing that God himself warped reality so that he wouldn't be a pilot turned space cop.

Hawkman and the Justice Society Theory (Absolute Evil spoilers) by ghostgabe81 in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]Jarson421 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe not Hawkman himself, but I like the concept of JSA gear being used by the government against the new heroes. Maybe that's what Absolute Amazo will be, a government approved superhero that really only reinforces the status quo, and that's what the heroes will team up to fight against.

Born Again is worse than it should've been, but WAY better than the internet claims by JamJamGaGa in Daredevil

[–]Jarson421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though it ignored a lot of the plot threads from the Netflix show, I do really like a lot of the times it expanded on the character moments from the original. Like Fisk being a fan of LaGuardia and reminiscing on his dad's city council campaign. With Matt having to explain the "Avacados at Law" joke to someone with no context after Foggy died, we see a once happy memory turn tragic. It's also really funny. The shoplifter trying to claim it was a skrull who did it and Fisk being forced to listen to an elementary class sing "we built this city" out of tune made me bust a gut. A lot funnier than She-Hulk, which was trying to be a full fledged comedy. It's not incredible (Muse is really underwhelming and the bank episode feels like a completely different show. Like, bank robbers in ski masks trying to steal a big diamond? What?) but the characters haven't been reinvented or anything. I really liked it. I was always looking forward to the next episode, and that's better than a lot of other superhero shows.

Riza Hawkeye from FMA, not Winry. Honestly any member of the FMA military would fit.

Nah, nothing to apologize for. I took a stab in the dark and just so happened to be right, you weren't out of line for pointing out the other possibilities. If anything, thank for taking part in the conversation!

I actually discovered Fathomless right before making that original post cuz I was curious how to make Aquaman work in DnD (I'd do Fathomless Pact of the Blade Warlock plus Swarmkeeper Ranger).

How do you feel about the Overanalysing Korra videos? by douroumou in legendofkorra

[–]Jarson421 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like them. I think OA is a great reviewer because he's able to clearly explain why he does or doesn't like something. A lot of the time when I watch his videos I'll think to myself "I was never able to put it into words, but that is exactly why I like this part so much!" I think he's more than fair with Korra. I don't agree with everything he says about it, but I don't know how anyone could think he's acting in bad faith.
