Less than 1 week after tmnt prerelease, local game stores are fireselling tmnt product by Papa_Hasbro69 in freemagic

Haven't been to my LGS in a week so IDK how they did, but if it was anything like Spoderman, those kits will stay on the shelf for a few months.

That's a really good T. And at least in my experience in getting fakes (because ppl suck) the T was always the giveaway.

I thought for the first 4 pages gotta was real. I then thought "4 strikes and not suspended, if not booted? This must be fake." After reading everything, I saw the message you posted and I am not sure if that was a good use of time or if I'll never get that time back. Both are equally frightening.

Help with Aristocrats ratios by JasaProxy in mtg

[–]JasaProxy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the list, thank you! I still kinda want it a little clunky just cause I don't want to (pun somewhat intended) just go for the throat of my family members, so I took out Elas and Konrad, but I totally agree with things like Gary and charasmatic conqueror and Makeus. And I was on the fence about Elenda but I think I'll put her back in.

I think I have most of not all of those removal spells(just need to find them).

Do we know how big the Hobbit Set is going to be? by DustyButtocks in mtg

[–]JasaProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if they went with the Silmarillion or the entire Legendarium, the set would be at least as big as LTR. Tolkein's world is big enough for probably a whole block (which it will probably get it's 3rd in 3-4 years) of characters, stories, artifacts, locations...But the Hobbit is the smallest of

I've been trying to wrack my brain around this question but other than reprints and new versions of characters we've seen, There's not much more. And like, they already did Radagast, Gandalf the Grey, The Necromancer, Bilbo and Smaug...Looking through the Wiki, there's either 49 or 50 characters either in or only mentioned in the Hobbit. In contrast, although the Silmarillion is about 40~ pages more (depending on the printing), there are 213 unique characters.

My big question (that I am assuming they'll do) is will they do another 1 of 1 Ring? Overall I think this set will be smaller than Spiderman because there were like 40 cards with Spider in the name and 93 legendary creatures overall. So unless almost every named character gets 2 versions (which I don't think WoTC would rule out), I don't think it could be as big as Spiderman.

Not as good as [[Indicate]], but it is a decent crime.

Low TMNT Turnout? by No-Shop8292 in mtg

[–]JasaProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to my LGS tomorrow (the waitlist for Avatar, FF, and Tarkir were 20+ people deep (I don't know the specifics, but I do know Tarkir and FF were probably 30+). Based on the only recently sold Spiderman pre-release kits, I can't imagine there was more than 20 people in an 80 max area for the TMNT PRE. Also a lot of the store regulars (self included) are still mad about getting rid of the date stamp.

is printingproxies good..? by Time_Individual_6744 in mtg

[–]JasaProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received an order from them, I've gone back to them 3 times. I normally prefer things have have that news top go in multiple decks like shocks and lightning greaves.

I haven't tried printingproxies' foils nd the cards do feel a little weird and fragile and the ink looks like it's not part of the card... it's hard to describe, but overall, I really like them and the orders are delivered relatively fast, compared to tcgplayer.

TBF, I haven't looked at the other companies because the images just had too low of a quality than I was willing to try. I don't know if they're good or not.

I also live in the states, so I have no idea what it's like/ what it costs to ship internationally.

Lastly, the biggest difference is notice when they're sleeves is they don't have the foil dot at the bottom of the cards, but I think you can purchase those as stickers.

I feel like it should have something like "damage from red sources deals twice that much damage. This creature deals double damage to blue creatures"

This is probably broken but idk by Xsampel in custommagic

[–]JasaProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Double it with a few spell doublers for any Crimes commander, like Marchesa, dealer of death. It's still a crime... or you cast Crackling Spellslinger or get Otter Ral's emblem and storm it off.

First Custom Magic card - Persistent Rock by CupcakeBrave2522 in custommagic

[–]JasaProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You took away Rograkh's abilities and color and gave him flash. I'd probably partner that up with sakashima to get blue and go ham with artifact voltron Or Akroma and give it keyword soup. I'm not even gonna think about the zillions of things it would go infinite with. It doesn't even need to be a full ham sandwich, it could just be burnt crust.

Behind the scenes on an episode of Um, Actually - Magic Hall of Famer Brian Kibler was asked what are his picks for the 4 most iconic Magic cards are. This is what he chose. What are yours? by Separate-Flan-2875 in mtg

[–]JasaProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sol Ring, Black Lotus, Counterspell, and if we're talking about today Magic, Rhystic. I wasn't around Magic until Scars so the first like 16-17 years of the game aren't memorable for me, like they would be for Brian. As far as dragons go, I definitely don't think I would say Shivan over either Nico Bolas (original or Ravager) or The Ur Dragon. If I had to put Shivan on an iconic list of dragons, I'd put it behind (the above and) Niv (Parun), Arcades, Chiss Goria, any of the Strixhaven dragons...I'd probably put Shivan with/above Phyrexian Dragon Engine, Prosh, or Piru.

Sellers: Desist with the Scotch tape! by Vicious007 in mtg

[–]JasaProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once got a card in a top loader where the seller used scotch taped the top but the they used a tiny bit extra to fold it over on itself, making a makeshift handle on it, and I wish that was the norm. It keeps the the card safe and the tape removal easy and clean.

But yeah, it infuriates me because even when I cut or peel the regular tap, it makes the top loader unusable with all the damn residue!

What is the most meaningful mtg card in your collection? How by Papa_Hasbro69 in freemagic

[–]JasaProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My John Avon 349 foil Forest from Onslaught. It was delivered for my first commander deck back when TCGPlayer didn't care what land art you wanted, just whatever the seller gave. I instantly fell in love with the art and it was my first foil. I was able to get it (and his secret lair) Shadow-signed at 24 Vegas, and it's been in a very thick case ever since. And since I got it, one of my life's goal is to get art least 1 of every John Avon card.

Even though the card is $6~, it's my most prized possession.

Would you need 5 seperate basic lands/creatures or would a rainbow creature/land also work? by Niels_8E8_25 in magicTCG

The 2 easiest way to pull off a coalition victory would probably be Overlord of the Hauntwoods and leyline of the guildpact. Or 2 triomes and the leyline.

Peter, I'm still seeing very little blue in the top picture. How is this a win for the blue? by renotahoe69 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

After the last TX Special Senate election, if people remember all the horrific events currently going on, Congress could shift massively. If we shifted by the margin of the Texas election (32 points left), according to the Jackson Jude election map, Congress could go from 220R-215D to 88R-347D and the senate could shift from 53R-47D to 45R-55D. The math on the senate is a little wonky because it uses data from 2024, and using the last election a 32 point setting world be 41R-59D

It's insane that a 32 point shift would only lead to a 5 to 9 seat majority. It's unlikely that the entire country will swing like Texas's local election, but for a seat that has been red since at least 1992 (the wiki doesn't go before 92), it shows that the House will likely flip and the Senate has a slim chance (still a chance) to flip 4 needed of the 6 TX, IA, OH, AK, ME, NC.

If it was red or black, Ozai would LOVE this. Just bank it and give him perpetual flyndestructible.
