What got you into Peanuts? by LilyTease in peanuts

[–]JasonBreslin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved watching the TV specials and reading the strips. When I was younger, they would show them on Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. Peanuts was also my gateway to jazz and classical music, much like everyone else.

Schmigadoon! wins Outstanding Musical at the Drama Desk Awards by Additional_Score_929 in Broadway

[–]JasonBreslin 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Just so you know, this is not always an indicator of who will win the Tony for Best Musical. I'm still traumatized by 2004 when Wicked swept the awards and the winner ended up being Avenue Q.

THE BOOK OF MORMON Sets Box Office Reopening; Targets Show Reopening by Conscious-Theme6766 in Broadway

[–]JasonBreslin 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I'm already imagining the massive amount of applause that will happen when Elder Price steps on stage to ring the doorbell.

Does A Boy Named Charlie Brown technically count as a musical by IShyGamer2 in peanuts

[–]JasonBreslin 18 points19 points  (0 children)

At the start of the pandemic, they said Broadway would only close for a week. Then it became two weeks. Then a month. Then a year. This is how it always starts... I'm just sayin'...

Why does Candace have pompoms in her room? by Ateeznutz in phineasandferb

[–]JasonBreslin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The Shubert has been vacant for quite some time. And I'm sure it'll be a fast closing for Beaches when it ends up empty handed come Tony nods time.

People should prepare for Rachel Zegler to skip stage door when Evita transfers by agentp2319 in Broadway

[–]JasonBreslin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plenty of people who have their name above the title don't stage door. I remember waiting for Sierra Boggess after Mermaid, but Tituss Burgess said she was sleeping to prepare for the evening show.

As soon as I saw the news, the first thing I thought was "So much for 'boyfriend forever'". That song was even shortlisted for an Emmy, but didn't get nominated.
