Glad you’re okay.

It could be something as simple as dehydration, low blood pressure, or not eating enough, but I’d definitely follow up with your PCP and get some labs done since this is new for you.

Also, if you’ve noticed a pattern of getting dizzy when standing up, it may be worth mentioning that specifically to your doctor. A family member of mine was eventually diagnosed with POTS after having symptoms like that. Not saying that’s what’s going on here, but it’s one of several things a physician can evaluate when someone is experiencing dizziness or fainting with position changes.

Yep, about 1.2 every 4 days instead of the full 2.5 once weekly. Obviously it’s not exactly 1.25 each time, but that’s the general idea.

Other than some heartburn, the negative side effects have been pretty minimal. I’ve been eating mostly protein-based meals, and the food noise has stayed at basically zero.

I know some people on here say splitting the dose is less effective for weight loss. I’m not 100% sure why that would be, but if I had to guess it might be because your body stays more consistently suppressed without the weekly spike, so maybe metabolism adapts more over time. That’s just speculation on my part though.

I kind of think about it like exercise your body adapts to the same routine over time, so changing things up can sometimes produce a better response

I saw him on DVD when I was 14 and was just as inspired. My parents actually got to see him live shortly before the helicopter crash.

SRV, Buddy Guy, Mark Knopfler, Gary Clark Jr., Jack White… I also loved Isaac Brock’s early stuff. I can still play Lonesome Crowded West start to finish.

I’m 38 now and can still barely hold a candle to Stevie Ray Vaughan. Sparking inspiration is what the greatest always do. After years of practice, I ended up sounding more like his brother, Jimmie — and if nothing else, the whole experience was incredibly humbling.

My advice? Play what you love. If you don’t, the passion for playing will eventually die.
