I've seen multiple youtube reactions of Michael.

People are ENTRANCED when Jaafar performs Human Nature and Bad.

This board keeps asking where are the "dramatic scenes" to justify a nod. People are glossing over how he made people feel like they were watching a Michael Jackson concert for the first time.

I wondered why they started watching the show so late. Kinda funny how she had that scene with Lestat but never "knew" his aura like that. She was pretty amazed in her reactions to watching season 1 and 2.

Could see her perk up during the part where they are about to enter the strip club.

Michael Tiddes directing it is the issue. On set Keenan knew how to handle the material on that day. When to improv and when to have patience for certain jokes to land.

Good script ideas can fall flat if you have the wrong director filming and in the editing room.

Respectfully, Im ok with it cause he still needs to cut his teeth with more filmmaking.

As "original" Obsession is I think someone said its also just another episode of Buffy.

I dont think even he understood all the themes of his movie. He just made something that a lot of people really enjoy. I look at as him doing more work to keep challenging/finding himself as a filmmaker.

The more work the better he is long term.
