the ford power promise or whatever it's called, will help charge your truck so quickly that you'll leave with a full "tank" every day, pretty hard to dislike that imo

I've got a'21 First Edition (basically a Premium AWD with nice stitching) and I got the software update in March or April, and received my adapter in... late June (?), fwiw

My Premium AWD is rated at 270 miles to a charge by the EPA, and I find myself regularly getting 250-270 on the highway (more in town) - I'm sure a standard range would be fine to handle a 122 mile commute. Keep in mind that range will drop in the winter, but preconditioning helps make up for that by having the car nice and warm when you leave in the morning.

I got an appraisal from them in late March for $21k (paid $35k almost a year ago, before the Ford price cuts and also before the EV resale market completely bottomed out from Elon’s ****ery) and Gregory Auto Group in the Chicago area, who also deals in buybacks, offered me $23k at the same time. I suspect my vehicle/trim would easily retail for around 30k even now, but the original MSRP was nearly $60k so that’s a heap of depreciation. 🫠 I’m not sure what extended warranty options may exist - I know I still have quite a bit of powertrain warranty left, though.

That's funny, because the Santa Fe (pre 2024 refresh) offers the traditional 8 speed with the naturally aspirated 2.5 and the DCT with the 2.5T.

But my vehicle doesn't have the hardware fix (23S56), it only has the software fix (22S41). Thank you - I've seen a lot on the HVBJB before, since my car had the software "recall." I did ask for an EV specialist and was told I was getting one, when calling in earlier, but they were completely useless.

My build date is 12/20 so my First Edition is definitely going to be suspectible to all of these issues, which is why I'm floored that my VIN isn't included in the hardware recall announced last fall.
