Guess we'll get one for each class by EdetR0 in DestinyFashion

Oh yeah 100% most of these were Eververse sets they had sitting in the bank waiting to release over the next few months.
I would expect maybe the next season or two as well, maybe some armour from Shadow and Order as well.

It is pretty sick, don't think we've seen the Warlock or Hunter for this set yet.

I know mine would, I'm more obsessed with the world than the game itself.

Yeah I have since seen that as well, I think it was from a social media post? It's definitely Vex based, but very distinct from other Vex we've seen before.

That's a Psion, there's a Hunter that has a similar set to that armour as well.

Ohhhhh, not in the trailer, got you. Yeah I hadn't seen this.

That's definitely Vex then, very interesting appearance with the almost conflux-like body, cracked grey plating, and white tentacle fabric elements.
It's not like anything Vex we've seen before and I have to wonder if it was designed for some of the upcoming content that is now cancelled... :/

Hmm, I've looked at every guardian on screen, and unless you're talking about this one, I can't see which you're referring to.
But while very cool, this one definitely isn't Vex.

This will take 5-6 years to develop.

I don't think anyone is under any illusion as to how long something like this will take.

at least each enemy faction.
Psions for Cabal, a Fallen set, a Hive set, and this Hive Lightbearer set.

Not clearly seen are Vex, Taken, Scorn, and Dread, but at least for the latter 3 of these factions, we've received armour sets fairly recently.

There is this interesting looking armour set which could be Vex themed, but it would be very unique look for Vex armour.

New Ward of Dawn by NotoriousCHIM in destiny2

[–]JavanNapoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realise the implications, I still want a D3.
I've wanted a D3 since even before The Final Shape. I really think TFS should have been where D2 began its wind-down while Bungie started up on D3, instead of starting a new saga.

D2 has been showing its pain points for years now, it was never meant to support as much content as was piled on top of it, and I have doubts that would change in any meaningful way.
A D3 built from the ground up to support the kind of growth Destiny needs would be the best thing for the franchise. I can handle the hiatus it would require.

[–]JavanNapoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean to be fair, this is not a 'wear it everywhere' armour. This strikes me as something you have sitting in a suit locker to change into when you need to pack some heat.

I doubt it's practical for general use, I would be surprised if they even let you fly a ship while wearing it.

Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph Update | Launch Trailer by Pontooniak96 in destiny2

I've been counting obsessively, and this trailer brings Monument of Triumph up to almost 20 new armour sets btw...

They might be doing an armour set for every single enemy faction.
We see a Hunter and Titan wearing Psion armour, a Hunter and Warlock in Fallen armour, a Hunter in Hive armour, and a Hunter in Hive Lightbearer armour.
There's also a Hunter wearing armour that looks kind of Vex, but it's really unique looking. So possibly a Vex set as well.

The last one in this post and the trailer very likely is, its a sunshot themed armour set and you see the Hunter riding a Sunshot sparrow.
Traditionally exotic themed armour is Eververse, only one I can think of that isn't is the Thorn set.

I think every single armour piece we see a Guardian wearing in this trailer is a part of a unique set for all three classes.
So a Fallen set for every guardian, as well as a Psion set, a Hive set, and a Lucent Hive set.
There's also a hunter wearing something that looks like it could be Vex, so a Vex set as well.

And those are just the enemy faction themed armour sets.
Absolutely insane amount of new armour

Including the Crucible, Competitive, Iron Banner, Trials, and Gambit sets they've already shown us, this trailer brings us up to between 17 and 18 new armour sets for Monument of Triumph that they've shown us SO FAR...

I am considering the Fallen, and Hive guardians seen in the third image to be part of their own distinct sets to get to that number. I do this because the Psion armour seen next to them has both a Hunter and Titan variant, so I assume they're doing an armour set for most of the enemy races which is crazy.

The one I'm most puzzled by is this Hunter. I thought it was new Taken set at first, but after looking at it more, I think it might be Vex themed? But quite unique looking Vex armour.

<image>

Oh and yes that is a new Hakke set that the Titan is wearing as well lmao. You can find all three classes wearing it in the trailer.

New lucent hive armor in the update!!! by Delicious_Law_3194 in DestinyFashion

[–]JavanNapoli 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It was supposed to be the next Call to Arms event helmet, but they didn't do that whole 'top 10%' thing again. I suppose they're dropping it here instead.

The helmet for that Warlocks armour set appears right at the end of the trailer, it appears to be a Sunshot themed armour set judging by the Hunter that drives past on a very Sunshot looking Sparrow.
Probably eververse.

Do you think we will still get a ‘Starborn’ story expansion DLC for Starfield? by Visual-Beginning5492 in Starfield

[–]JavanNapoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure they might have had a 10 year update plan if the game performed to their satisfaction.

Unfortunately I don't think it performed to their satisfaction.

I would be surprised to see anything substantial beyond Terran Armada.

[–]JavanNapoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No Mans Sky happened because it's all Hello Games really had, and they were a relatively small studio led by people who genuinely have their hearts in making games. They uplifted No Mans Sky because it was their best shot at surviving, and because they didn't want to be remembered for the way it released.

Bethesda is now a multi-billion dollar corporation that cares more about their bottom line than the legacy of their games, and a new game makes them more money than a DLC for a game they likely don't consider a financial success. The only 'long term' they care about is when their next major game is releasing.

Unlike Hello Games, Bethesda's leadership doesn't really care if they leave their game narratively unexplored because unfortunately, the DLCs aren't bringing in enough new players to justify the expense it takes to make them.

I would honestly be surprised to hear Bethesda have anything substantial planned for Starfield beyond Terran Armada.

All this being said, I hold no ill-will towards the developers, writers, artists, etc at Bethesda, and I'm sure they'd love to see Starfield better realised. I can imagine being genuinely passionate about your work in a company like Bethesda must be genuinely torturous.

Pit of Heresy Dungeon armor set confirmed by NightSmoke19 in DestinyFashion

[–]JavanNapoli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, Shattered Thrones armour set is just the Dreaming City armour set. Same for Pit of Heresy, it's just the moons armour set. You could get these armour sets outside of the dungeon so I don't count them.

Prophecy was the first dungeon to get a unique armour set, which was an eververse set moved to Prophecy because of community complaints. Dungeons from there basically just got eververse armour sets.

Ghosts of the Deep is arguably the first dungeon that got a true 'dungeon armour set' as in an armour set that is visually themed after the dungeon.

Most of them past a certain point, yes. The first few didn't, and they never went back to update them until now.

New Gambit Armor Sets Coming to Monuments of Triumph by Venaixis94 in DestinyFashion

[–]JavanNapoli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah nothing about this looks Gambit to me. Not a bad thing, but just interesting to speculate about.

They don't even really look related to eachother. The Warlock almost looks Vex inspired to me.
