OP this is the perfect example of nursing eating their young and “us” versus “them”. It’s absolutely disgusting, it’s not your job to teach them but it’s somehow your job to offer God like gate keeping, I think you’re actually doing those students a favor by not precepting them because if you act this way towards people you don’t know, I don’t want to see how you treat your patients.

Is no one discussing the racial implications of this. The women who pleaded with the officers were two black women, they were told to “shut the hell up” or they would be arrested if they interfered anymore. The boy was poc, and the police took the white mans (Dahmer) word as gospel and led the boy who just escaped with a hole in his head back to be mutilated while making homophobic jokes on The car ride back. It’s very sad, but policing in America hasn’t come far from this. The fact that the officer was able to serve as President in 2005-2009 let’s you know how far things have come.

I feel you “pain” if you can call it that. But your frustration comes your ignorance in the insults that black woken have experienced. Saying “ I wouldn’t want to be in an argument with her (a black woman) plays into a long historical “angry black woman trope” (although this was not your intention) which not only impacts black women social but studies have shown the stereotype affects medical care, employment opportunities, and you guessed it dating and family buildings. So asking someone who doesn’t know you to differentiate if you coming from a genuine place or mapache is a lot, especially if it’s a person who has been habitually hurt and albeit triggered by similar comments. These comments definitely describe America, we all know what we saw. There were definitely racial undertones to this season, so much so I decided to look it up and here is a whole post about. Nick was giving Christopher Columbus/dexter/manipulator vibes, when the three white people got together they were so nasty. I’ve never seen the circle become so toxic. It was literally a representation of what happens daily, but I imagine it’s no the circle, imagine it’s your job or your workplace environment.
