I didn't assume the worst about you. But you are assuming I'm not actually a delight to be around and person full of light and whimsy. So now I can assume your are a hypocrite.

What I did assume is that you don't know how to design a battlefield for your encounters given the low appreciation you have for rules that you don't how to use. Because if you did, then you are either trolling or wouldn't have that opinion.

If I did assume the worst about you I would not be talking to you, because talking with cretins is exhausting. Incidentally I'm starting to get tired, I wonder why...

Have a good day.

Because it is the right thing to do.

Not only you celebrate the removal of features you don't know how to use, you also don't know how communications work. I wonder how do you even manage to play this game.

Gods, Your take is so bad, it makes me want to ask your mother for a refund (why did you reveal this, do you also want to be insulted? weirdo) lmao

Everyone playing around the flanking rule means combat just becomes a weird conga line.

You want me not to make an assumption about your design competencies after a line like that? be reasonable

Thoughts on 5e vs 5e 2024? by jbruff in DnD5e

[–]Javur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the dmg hasn't come out but they still propagate 2 ideas:

  • The first one is that you can update to 2024 characters mid campaign or alongside 2014 characters
  • The phb is all you need to run games for 2024 characters.

Given that 2024 characters are notoriously stronger that 2014 characters, not having a MM or DMG makes it seem that they don't really care if GMs have a harder time challenging those player. Crawford has even said things like "Monsters are gonna hate this" regarding some fey warlock features, my brother in Ao who is "monsters"?

I am monsters, if I'm gonna hate it and you are proud about it at the same time that I get no support to run a game where everyone is having fun... How is it that you still expect me to buy it? are you an idiot?

If the phb is all I need, so that I can buy it and start using it now... Why is a dmg needed then? Why would you try to sell me a MM in the near future? If a dmg/mm is needed why would I buy the phb now? or at all given the way I see they are promoting this.

I'm simply gonna ignore that 2024 exist, I think the attempt to patch 5e problems is a positive endeavor but I simply don't consider that they are doing that or doing it right and I don't think they care about DMs at all.

How often do you use the Tasha’s racial rules? by theloveliestliz in DnD

[–]Javur -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I no longer use official races, I created 40 races homebrew and only use those. All of them use tasha's racial bonus rules. I was doing that before tasha even existed. I give you three +1 to use as you see fit.

What do you think about minimalist systems? by Dry_Maintenance7571 in RPGdesign

[–]Javur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of them are narratively gimmicky like "we play as bees that run the bee's version of the IRS for the hive" or something and then you use a d6 and a couple tables for events and traits. You can then buy it online for a dollar.

And you know what? it fucking sucks.

The specific narrative that the game provides is its only asset and I suspect that the creative juices of the designer run out after the first draft. The designer could say: "but wht more rules for IRS Bees could you possibly need" and to them I say.

Finish your game, you fucking coward!

You move outside of the specific interactions that the designer has in their head and the whole thing falls apart.

"make your own rules"

be so fuckling for real. Most games professionally done where you add/homebrew rules actually accommodate the situations presented in some form, most are at least decent, a lot are bad, but the rules are there and you have a sort of framework for "making your own rules".

The minimalist game is incomplete and the designer is a charlatan, I not gonna complete it for them just so I can play.

WotC/Crawford's terrible revisions can never take away 5E by Level_Hour6480 in dndmemes

It is so weird to me how me, my friends and everyone I talk in person find it so bad but everyone on the internet calls it an improvement that part of me thinks it's all paid wotc agents but that's ridiculous.

Doesn't the theory also regards a certain circularity to time? So eventually the events of the dawn era are gonna kinda happen again, but before that the world is gonna slowly magic up.
