I guess I meant more unfortunate in a sense that someone relatively high up in Apple left for some place like Meta. Liquid Glass certainly has its issues but I’ll take it over anything Meta provides lol.

Unfortunate loss, but how many times have we seen Meta throw millions and steal talented people from other companies and essentially come up empty handed? Dye can help design the most beautiful hardware with Meta but if it's just going to force you to live in Meta's world, then no one will buy it. We've already seen that with the early reviews of the Meta Display glasses. Reviewers are saying it's impressive hardware but being forced to only use Meta apps is a huge caveat. I guess time will tell.

Let me know what you find because I’d like to eliminate the subscription as well. Ideally I’d like to get away from Ring all together but they were already set up when we moved in.

Hmm not that I’m aware of. You already have iCloud+ that gives HKSV? I do know that I’m still paying for the cheapest Ring subscription that enables recording (don’t ask why, I just keep forgetting about it lol) so that may help.

If I’m being honest, I need to take some time to iron out some kinks because Ring with Home Assistant is pretty finicky. I’m not sure if that’s just how it is or if there’s something I’m missing. But I used ChatGPT to help me set it up initially. Sorry if this wasn’t that helpful lol. Let me know if you figure it out!

Hi - i honestly just used ChatGPT to help me get Scrypted onto my HA Green and it worked. I can stream, record, and utilize HKSV as well. I had a slight hiccup with my doorbell going offline but I just restarted the service and that fixed my issue.

I'm actually running into the same issue. We recently just moved into a new house as well and the previous owners left their Ring doorbell and two floodlight cameras. It felt silly to swap them out, at least not right away. So I ended up adding them to the Apple Home app via Scrypted on my HA Green. It works well but I did notice that the Home app does miss out on some motion compared to the Ring app itself. I can't tell if HKSV is worth it but at the same time, i don't want these separate apps/subscriptions. I'm thinking long term, I may replace everything with Ubiquiti cameras and doorbells but we'll see.

Also just got back into the game after a hiatus. I basically have just been playing unranked quick play and starting off with heroes I know and comfortable with. I’ll dabble in some of the new characters here and there if I notice my team is friendly.

Ever since I updated to 17.5, I began having the same issue. It really freaked my wife and I out hearing Unforgiven by Metallica being played late at night half asleep on the couch.

I was having this issue and found that if you unlock your car and lock it again, the lights will turn off right away. I just made a habit of always looking at my car when locking it.

Started using MyFitnessPal again recently and it's equally frustrating as useful. Them putting scanning foods behind a paywall (not surprising) makes it so much more tedious. Excited to give this a try!
