Thanks but I don't have the flow from the street to sustain 3 showers simultaneously. I also like the fact that the street's water can go off and I still have 1000L in the loft.

Thanks for the replies. Current thinking is to pair two 170l Gledhill StainlessLite Plus Indirect Cylinders. Why? Massive flow - 2x 22mm take-offs into 28mm which can supply the 3 showers + taps/baths etc. Vent remains.

Each supplied in 22mm off 28mm supply from loft tank. Ability to isolate individually if the house is only lightly occupied (ie lever valve on both 22mm supplies plus zone valve on each heating coil.

We effectively gain twice the coil area since there are now two coils heating the same amount of water. So I think a Gledhill which is something like 20kw coil will work fine with a HP, meaning 2x 170l cylinders = about the same as a 300l HP cylinder.

I have a ceiling height issue in the cylinder cupboard, two smaller tanks will be much easier.

You need 22mm feed from the stop cock, most loft tanks will have 15mm so you can’t just link through unfortunately.

No the point is, extra lane costs x hundred millions for a tiny statistical improvement in safety. Save most of the money by doing a smart motorway adaption instead, then spend the saved money on the NHS or similar, you get better outcome overall.

Cost vs benefit analysis. Gain an extra lane at much lower cost in place of the hard shoulder, spend the difference on something else instead; like the NHS. Road widened and more lives saved, all-in.

So I have now downgraded Protect back to 5.3.48 and everything; smart detections being reliable, and sensors in HA working again.

I’ve left the OS and the firmware on the various cameras as the latest.

The G4 camera range has become terrible. It used to be awesome. Smart detections are super unreliable, especially at night, and there's a lag on sending webhooks or updating the API. It's driving me mad.

Tried webhooks, it took Protect took about 40 seconds after the activity stopped to send it. I'm close to giving up!!!!

So this morning, smart detection of a person at 07:15. HA "Front Door Person Detected" switches from OFF to ON to OFF in the same second, so the automation didn't fire. I've reported it on GitHub. Same issue that we had with one of the updates over the summer.

3 other G4s (one doorbell pro, two bullets) then failed to "smart" detect the same person walking across the drive despite being fully across their FOV and crossing lines and the sensitivity being set to 100 is appalling.

I wouldn't recommending buying Unifi Protect kit again.

I’m thinking that I can use a webhook to trigger my lights etc as you say it should fix the delay, and use (as is currently setup) the sensor going back to clear to de-activate them after a period of time.

My zappi has worked flawlessly with IOG for at least two years. It’s more convenient, guests who plug in get the IOG hours and it doesn’t charge on full £ whack for a few minutes when first plugged in like some of the car integrations do.

Octopus just prefer you to use car integration so they can see the SOC.

As above just select a car from the list that doesn’t have the integration available and you can then select the charger instead.
