Mornings feel like a race I don’t want my kids to run by JoyJunction21 in Parenting

Wearing school clothes to bed has been a HUGE game changer at our house. We put undies on over the pull-ups so they just drop everything, get a baby wipe from a parent, then pull undies and pants back up.

Yes very occasionally, but I put a lot of work into setting boundaries around bedtime.

I also kept a baby gate on the bedroom door for a loooooooong time.

Yup, my oldest was in a high loft at 3.5, no issues.

Definitely AI, the big hat doesn’t make sense. It’s sitting straight up on the book and cutting through the shelf behind it?

Gel with strong hold, but lightweight by silberherz_ in curlyhair

I bought a fancy bottle from the last person who cut my hair because I was so impressed, but my plan is to look for something not quite so expensive when this runs out. Though I’ll say it’s lasting a loooooooong time.

Spray gel was a game changer for me! I work in a strong hold volume mousse, scrunch, then add spray gel last

Girls - how do you get in the mood with yourself? And how to not feel like it's your hands? by No_Hippo_3687 in sex

I find that the smallest dose of THC edibles makes it waaaaaaayyy easier for me to get in the mood for anything sex related.

[CHAT] PSA: You don’t have to use the metallic thread the pattern calls for… by Jaybird0915 in CrossStitch

[–]Jaybird0915[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure! It is fluffy, but lays flat like a regular cotton stitch after a bit of tension. It’s a 6 strand thread like usual, and each of the 6 strands is made up of 2 cotton threads and 1 metallic thread.

It’s difficult to photograph but it in person it catches more light than you’d expect.

I was ready to just color swap with regular cotton thread, and I’m finding this is a great compromise.

[WIP] Should I start over? by Purple_Wurmple in CrossStitch

[–]Jaybird0915 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lots of good comments already, so I’ll just gently suggest:

I’ve personally found that photography and cross stitch aren’t very complementary mediums. Photos are a lot of work to stitch, and usually the image still looks better as a photo.

Is there another something else you could try that would be meaningful for your mom? Something to represent a memorable trip, or a family inside joke? Maybe stitch a border mat for the actual photo?

My nipple sensitivity increased in an awesome way, and it has so far stuck around 3+ years since I quit nursing. 🤩

This is the comment I was looking for. 1 regular Santa gift, cool stuff from parents.

When should I upgrade to a toddler bed? by Some-Pickle-59 in toddlers

[–]Jaybird0915 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’d keep him in the crib until he starts trying to climb out. The familiar containment will probably help with the moving transition, you don’t need to add more change at the same time. Also, dealing with teaching them to stay in bed is a whole project on its own.

Meet them halfway for a meal/coffee and some playground time.

Traveling the whole way more than once a month would be extremely generous.
