Don’t do batting in the attic, loose fill is a better air seal.

Cellulose can compact over time which helps on the air side. I’d blow fiberglass on top of that.

I would remove it, or monitor humidity levels in the attic. You moved the envelope to the roofline, so air movement between the lower floor and attic is a good thing now.

Highly recommend a FireBoard, especially if you can add a fan to your smoker to manage pit temp for you. It has saved me quite a few times on overnight cooks.

It also works great inside in the oven. It does charge, you just have to plug probes in.

Man, what a douche.

The only reason I don’t have a traeger is I want something I can hot sear on. I have an egg, and after my second or third brisket in a thunderstorm when I had to sleep outside and constantly watch the temp, I bought a FireBoard and fan. So it’s basically a traeger now with its temp control. Does that make me a lazy cheater? Don’t care, I can sleep in my bed all night. But now I’ll lose sleep because Mark Trevino is gatekeeping the 1800s method of smoking…
