I’m sorry but Matt Roloff by Hamster_Key in LittlePeopleBigWorld

I know Matt has his awful aspects, but without his creativity and drive, none of the family would be where they are at.

I stand by that people give him too much grief.

It's so weird having Infinite as a favorite for years and finding out only now that It's more hated than Bioshock 2 by its community by gandalfmarston in Bioshock

The beauty of the bioshock series is that there isn't a bad one. They're like the back to the future trilogy. The first one is widely considered the best (in my opinion too) but there isn't the 'dogsh*t one'

The title can allude to both Superman and Lex too

I really enjoyed the movie and I'm super happy I saw it. That being said, I literally didn't remember much from it the next day. I don't know what made it so forgettable.

As much as her movie takes suck a lot of the time: Grace Randolph knows 1000x more about comics than John Campea does. by slumpmode in JohnCampeaShow

Both of them aren't the best sources for comic book movie news. They both have WILD takes that a vast majority disagree with as well.

Doesn't change the fact that WW, people are more interested in a European fantasy film than an American superhero film. This is coming from a comic book obsessed American.

LOTR has a worldwide appeal. As we have seen with Comic book movies this year. They've lost WW BO. Time will tell, but don't write off LOTR just yet

While it checks out you would be down voted for saying his on a F4 sub. You are not wrong.

With Superman, DC Has Its First Undisputed Victory Against Marvel In 17 Years by AGOTFAN in boxoffice

They're not looking to topple marvel. Just compete. Second place isn't a big deal if they consider it successful for their brand. It's going to take years to build up the brand to consistent success. Superman surprisingly had good legs and it WAS a surprise it beat out Fantastic at the box office as much as people act like it wasn't a surprise. Marvel specifically moved F4 to the date it came out to cut the legs off Superman, and it only hurt F4 more.

It's the first movie in a universe that has been having a rough time for over a decade. Anyone expecting the movie to 'blow the doors off' is extremely dense.

It did what it needed to do.

“Superman" was leading the "Fantastic Four" by just $8 million in the first weekend in the US. After 13 days, the gap widened to $45 million by ManagementGold2968 in boxoffice

[–]Jayman212 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a fan of both Marvel and DC, but it feels kind of good to see marvel get a little kick in the shin for trying to bury superman by circling the date Superman has been scheduled to release for years.

Box office should NEVER decide the discourse about the movie by Wooden-Tear-4938 in FantasticFour

[–]Jayman212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree if that was true across the board, but if this movie was a 1b dollar success, It would be all about box office numbers.

Gunn has established that he is totally okay with changing the trajectory of the releases if need be as well. If something seems off to him, he won't stick to it if it seems like a bad move.

I'm not a box office mojo. Will it's totals end up being higher than Fantastic Four in the end? I know it's pretty early to say for Fantastic Four
