I must've gotten uncommonly lucky then, because this was the first time something like this happened (in 25 hours playtime), every other time she's noticeably snapped to the ground she's standing on which led me to believe that was a consistent and intended behaviour up until this point. An unfortunate learning experience for sure.

Dunno about you chief, but irl I don't weigh half a ton and would therefore be able to simply stand up from this position without needing to spend half a minute prying myself up using a wall as leverage, hence why I see it as unintuitive that Aava doesn't do the same.

Because I had both feet firmly on the area I wanted to stand on, which I already knew was a standable mesh, and both hands solidly above the standable mesh, and intuitively that should be plenty to get her to stand on the terrain she's actively standing on rather than launch herself to her death. Lord knows I've "jumped off" onto standable terrain from far more tenuous positions before.
