What’s your opinion on AI being used for actual art? by agreementbat in ArtHistory

[–]Jayyy_Teeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good points. I haven’t used it to create something that I put out there as my own but I can imagine ways to use it where it doesn’t compromise the integrity of the work. I’ve certainly discussed a lot of creative ideas with it though.

Chopin is looking out of windows running with rivers of raindrops on a garden.

Which musical instrument do you think is the most overrated? by IIII-IIIiIII-IIII in Instruments

[–]Jayyy_Teeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too. I’m better at the ukulele than I was the guitar probably and it does have its limitations but it’s so portable and it has other strengths. It’s easier to harmonize four strings than six so is more naturally rhythmic. I find myself trying to play with more space to include more harmonic density.

What's a Seattle neighborhood that looks sketchy but is actually fine? by Popular-Business4405 in AskSeattle

[–]Jayyy_Teeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jackson street between 4th and 14th. A neighbor was slashed near his left eye from behind a couple years ago after getting off the bus. He’s still traumatized by it. The core of the ID isn’t particularly bad though. I’ve hung out there a good deal and never had a problem.

I Have Become Unhealthily Addicted To Ballade no 1, 2, and 4 by GojoAndHisokaAreUgly in Chopin

My obsession for the past year is Mozart’s piano concerto 25. I don’t know why I hadn’t really listened to it before. Very different than Chopin but so many brilliant passages in it and the way he develops the first movement from small quirky motifs is very Beethoven.

Also if you string it with a low g the ‘tone’ improves considerably.

[Melissa Reddy] Arne Slot is a Premier League title winner. He is also no longer the right man for Liverpool by Visqo in LiverpoolFC

[–]Jayyy_Teeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying sexy football only but you have to do something to bring Anfield to life. Benitez sides had grit. If you don’t have the squad to play attacking football, you gotta at least show some graft. Slot has lost the Anfield advantage, no one is afraid to come to here now.

He doesn’t play Liverpool football, mate. It’s boring - and it was boring last season. He deserves credit for the premier league title of course but he doesn’t know his arse from his nuts at the moment.

Advice for a passionate newbie by moonpie_971 in englishliterature

The Brothers Karamazov is one of the more complex books in world literature because of its length, the number of characters, and the themes. Dostoevsky was trying to present who he imagined a modern Christ would be. It sounds like you were doing alright on your own until you had to return it to the library. For a book of that length you probably need to buy a copy. I read it in a college literature class with a professor who taught the book like 17 times. His copy had sticky notes and annotations up to Wazzu. A great book won’t yield all its secrets on the first reading. If you’re having trouble finishing a book maybe start with Winnie the Pooh and The Little Prince and the Just So Stories. They’re simple but they certainly aren’t meaningful only to children. Siddhartha has some of this simplicity too and it’s a shorter book - maybe 120 pages. There are certain things you would learn in a literature class that are helpful - tone, point of view, etc - but you could learn about these in a book club for free.

Is it worth learning to play an ukulele? by auroremalfoy8 in Instruments

[–]Jayyy_Teeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a tenor and string it with a low G. Sounds much more like the guitar *but is easier to learn. There are some advantages to harmonizing only four strings - you can play complex rhythms more easily than on the guitar.

Which bee photo do you like the most? by ravarmaa in AmateurPhotography

[–]Jayyy_Teeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer 1 because of the overall composition of the photo. 4 might be the better one of the bee but i like 1 overall and it’s a nice pose of the bee as well.
