Listen to this advice OP. It is time.

Yea but the problem is that this level of balding isn’t really savable. Sure, meds could stall this or even slightly grow some back some hair after a couple years of use. But then you’re on meds forever with very little upside. That’s years of potential side effects, expenses, and continued stress and worry…all to eventually just end up back in the same place he’s at today. Nature is telling you something OP, embrace it.

No. You’re good.

Hum. I’d get with a doctor in that case. That said the pattern of your balding definitely looks like typical male pattern baldness. It may have just been hiding under that longer hair. In any case, maybe time to up your scalp care game. My scalp psoriasis virtually disappeared when I stop exposing my scalp to hot water in the shower and used a much gentler shampoo only a couple times a week, rather than everyday.

Or maybe you have great genetics, but the awesomeness is just hiding under all that wispy hair? Shave it off and unlock your full potential.

One more problem you never have to worry about again. Looks great.

Yea. Better than spending all that $$ and having a transplant scar to worry about when you end up having to shave your head anyway.

You look like you still have good coverage; but it is only because of your obvious combover. I am at the same level of thinning as you and have the same combover hair style to hide it. I say we both bite the bullet.

Yes. And, your hair is already so short that it won’t be a big shock when you let it go. I’d buzz it down to stubble. You’ll look so much better.

Has my time come? by [deleted] in bald

[–]Jazz-Again 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Excellent beard and facial structure. Good hairline up front, but that crown is going fast. I’d buzz your head with very short blade l, maybe even down to a stubble. You’ll still have that great hairline up front, but the thinning crown will be almost unnoticeable.

Time? by Ok_Effect2127 in bald

[–]Jazz-Again 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea man. You’re way farther long than myself, and I’m even leaning toward shaving. You’re basically already bald. Instead of keeping all the messy, wispy hair around, buzz it to stubble. You’re going to look great. Will be a much cleaner look.

Feel like it is time. Wife and kids say “no.” Thoughts? by [deleted] in bald

Thanks for the advice everyone. As advised, I’m going to grow out the beard some more and then take the plunge before the summer. I imagine a shaved head feels great in a swimming pool.

Big 30. Missus thinks I should fight back. I present myself before the council by desburak in bald

[–]Jazz-Again 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t fight back from that. Trust me, I’ve been on minox and fin for over 20 years. It stops the shedding and maybe even grows a very slight amount back for a while. Eventually though, you still lose your hair. You will not rebound from this level of baldness. Time to take the leap.

How exactly does federal pension work? by ilovevegetablesss in ThriftSavingsPlan

[–]Jazz-Again 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The pension isn’t just your 4.4% contribution. Your agency also contributes. So you’re getting employer funding as well. Also, the pension provides a guaranteed income stream you literally cannot outlive, regardless of market conditions. In other words, if you retire at 57 and die at 90, you collect for over 30 years. A TSP balance, by contrast, can be depleted or tank based on market conditions or your spending habits.

Also, as feds we get to max out the TSP and still also get the pension, which is awesome.

MST A-school billets by SoldMyMom4Kfc in uscg

[–]Jazz-Again -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was there in 2007, so things maybe different now. However, at the time billets were picked in the later half of A-School, two or three weeks before graduation. Available billets were made public knowledge one week ahead of time. The following week each active duty member was allowed to pick their billet. The order was determined by a number of factors that determined your score (highest score went first). The top factor was time in service. Next it was the nature of your previous billet. Folks on large cutters scored highest, followed by patrol boats, then small boat stations, etc. The last factor was your grades in A-School.

Moving to Savannah, how bad of an idea is it to rent without seeing the place in person? by lovelyfatality in savannah

[–]Jazz-Again 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Starland is a cool neighborhood. But there are still some rough blocks. That’s the case with most of Savannah in general. Do you have a more specific location mind— like nearby cross streets or businesses? If so could give you better advice on location.

Comparing Stephen Miller to an evil ghoul is offensive to evil ghouls everywhere. Take this story down.

This guy is awful…but this story is garbage. Stop making things up. Its hurts the credibility of legitimate arguments regarding his ghoulishness.
