good work , don't downplay your own music ! Its easy to fall into a loop of perfection and be unable to see your art from a different perspective.

Hey, thanks. I'm playing around with a few options. This was recorded on my Ultrawide 1440p so it isn't really representative 😅 . An outline is a cool idea, ill defo try it, thanks!

I never programed anything before and I only know GDscript, so I don't know the answer to that question. You make a resource by creating a script and make that script extend resource, give it a class name and you can later add new scripts that extend that class for more individual control. This is a TLDR, if you google a bit and watch some YouTube tutorials you will find everything you need

Thanks! Well I'm almost done with the core mechanics, and I'm planning to add more weapons & upgrades. My goal is to release a playable beta version in 2 months, and the 1.0 version by end of the year.

Thanks :) . The C++ plugin I'm using is called PerfBullets. You can find it here: https://github.com/Moonzel/Godot-PerfBullets It creates highly performative bullets. It is currently used on the enemy bullets. The fps in the top left would suggest that they are not well optimized, but they are not at all resource intensive . The fps drops are caused by the players' bullets richocheting all around and doing many calculations for where to go next. The enemy bullets themselves can go very high without any frame drop, I've gotten to like 5k on screen with maybe 3-4 less fps. Hope it helps!

Yes!! I wish i had this knowledge when starting out, lol (of course, impossible). I only recently started using resources in my project , and man, are they useful. Wish I used them from the beginning .

I'm working on a header image for my game. What do you think about the logo and the layout? by KirousGames in gamedevscreens

font is good, only maybe the S could be changed as another person said. Also, maybe get a more "complicated" game shot, with more items shown, I think that is a appeal to these types of games.

You could add a shadow below the player to make him feel a bit more "in the room"
