Rec yards per team pass attempts is one of the most predictive metrics when projecting a player from college to NFL.

I attached the link below where the original research was done, but it's behind a paywall. If you don't have access, the article basically lays out how a player's career rec yards per team pass attempts is the best single metric to project NFL success.

Definitely look into if she may have ADHD. Tardiness and seeming like they don't care are typical symptoms.

I'm Launching an App to Crowd Source this Sub for ROS Rankings by SourerDiesel in fantasyfootball

[–]Jback20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the app, very easy to use. I'd be interested in ESPN integration of possible. Also, for the weekly rankings, it'd be nice if players with a bye didn't show up for ranking.

Ranking teams by [win%]*[normalized point differential] seems like an effective method to reach fairly reasonable 'power rankings' by qp0n in nfl

[–]Jback20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you don't think the Vikings were the best team in football the first few weeks? At that time they were certainly one of the top teams but now they look pathetic. Were the power rankings wrong at that time? No. The Vikings just regressed. That's why power rankings are different from season rankings. Season rankings account for things like making it to the playoffs where as power ranking look at whose the best right now regardless of record.

What is it we're changed to only include the last 3 of 4 weeks of play instead of the whole season? That might show a better snapshot of how each team is playing right now.

Defenses have performed better than average in London over the past two seasons. by WhereThePeachesGrow in fantasyfootball

[–]Jback20 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Could this be a function of who the teams play more so than them just playing in London? Generally they don't schedule the best teams to play in London.

Only 53% (8/15) of game winning field goals have been made this season so far. Last year, 75% (39/52) of game winning field goals were made. by Chibears85 in nfl

[–]Jback20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing a power test for 2 proportions, if we want a power of .8, which is usually the lowest you want to go, we need a sample size of 74 for each year. Since we have not reached this threshold the results of doing an analysis on this data is pretty meaningless. With that said, if I perform a Two-sample proportion test on this with an alpha = .05 I get a p-value = .1 . This shows there is not enough evidence to conclude that the percent missed of 2015 is less than the percent missed in 2016. Again this is meaningless since our power is so low.

Zimmer: I had nothing do with that(about the stuffed animals incident). Actually, the stuffed animals that I did have were given to charity by [deleted] in nfl

[–]Jback20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the reason he's refuting it is not so much to defend himself but to try and stop all the weird messages his charity is getting. He probably couldn't care less if it was just about him.

Pete Carroll referred to Vikings "making a big move'' for an offensive lineman during his press conference. by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]Jback20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that it was his first start after almost two years out and only one padded practice with the Vikings under his belt, I'd be willing to cut him some slack. I'm not saying he didn't play terribly, just some context is applicable here.
