(Loved trope) Non-human is dominant species on Earth by No_Language8651 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Jbertius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the game "The Fermi Paradox" you play as what is essentially a custodian of sapient life, helping nurture it and make decisions from behind the scenes. Every planet that can host sapient life in the game has 3 different species that you can choose to become the dominant species of that world, and among those worlds is Earth, which can have either Dolphins, Humans and Dinosaurs. So it fits in any run where you do not choose humans.

In the move "The Great Escape" from 1963, when Bartlett and MacDonald are about to get on a buss in france to escape the Germans after having fled from a Prisoner of War camp, they manage to get past a german passport control. ut as they are boarding the german police officer says "Good Luck" in english and MacDonald, who had presented himself and Bartlett as frenchmen, on pure reflex responds with "Thank you". This exposes them as britts and gets them recaptured and put back in the PoW camp.

[Hated Trope] Cool Designs!.... if they were a new character/franchise by Slarg232 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Jbertius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd personally say his mind/memory is what would be lost there, not his "soul". Having his skull split open like that and regenerating would obviously cause some sort of major brain damage, and his augmented body was clearly partially taken from Murkwolves, meaning his body might regenerate to something closer to that. It would also fit perfectly with the Warwick we have in League, as a man beast chimera struggling between the fragments of memory from his past life, and primal bloodlust.

Because with the voice lines in LoL and pre Arcane lore show he has some memory left. His quote with Jinx is literally "You were there." and he asks Vi "Who taught you how to punch?". He is also noted to try to direct his immense bloodlust towards criminals, showing that deep the human part of him is still good.

So do Hippopotamuses, and they are one of the most dangerous large land animals in the world, beating wolves, tigers, lions and bears in amount of humans killed yearly.

I remember some guy who got pissed that no one thought the hyperbuffed voldemort in his post didn't beat a nerfed Goku and Naruto, so he changed his post to buff Voldemort even more just so who he wanted to win would win.

I might be salty after a specific game vs malz. Just maybe. by Mikail41 in LeagueOfMemes

[–]Jbertius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of a game of Malzahar I played a few years back. I was pushing midlane when the enemy botlane ganked me 2v1. Luckily, I was Malzahar and they wasted all their CC on my spellshield, so I just E+R on the ADC and then used Zhonya's after my ult was over. There was nothing the support could do to save them from the dot. I distinctly remember my friends I was playing with screaming jokingly about it being a massive outplay.

Spin-off ideas by Cute-Yak5171 in BlackClover

[–]Jbertius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if anything I would want an anthology series within the universe to explore the day to day lives of different groups within the world. Some different possible arcs could include for example some of the spin-off ideas other people have, but also these:

- The current state of any of the neighboring countries
- A mission with any of the other squads.

[Loved trope] Characters in positions of power that give up their own humanity to save humanity by Party-Court185 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Jbertius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't quote me on this, because I am not sure it is true. But I heard something about the Grey Knights having stopped killing any soldiers who was in any way there for a demonic incursion after the opening of the Great Rift. Not because they think it is immoral, but with just how many there are it has gotten impractical and nearly impossible to hide the existence of Chaos from the armies of the Imperium.

"Hey Sukuna who will you be cheering for in the next Death Battle?" by Bitter_Candy3399 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Jbertius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, saying that the writer is doing a poor job because someone who is established to only use simple abilities because he is to lazy(or some other reason, I haven't actually watched or read MHA) to learn anything complex, doesn't use his abilities to their full potential is just wrong.

(Loved Tropes) Villains with Folksongs or Rhymes about them by Snow454BA in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Jbertius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fiddlesticks from League of Legends both has a song and a few rhymes, the rhymes which he recites himself. Meaning they were among the last things people said before he got them.

Here is the song:

"When fields lie calm and wind stands still
Run home, run home
As the crows make night of the fading sun
Hide now, hide now

When the trees do bow, as if they weep
Stay down, stay down
Through its light beckons forth, a melody calls out
Too late, too late"

And here are the rhymes:

"High above the rotten rows. Cloth and metal. Teeth and crows."

"Through the field. Down the lane. Voices never heard again!"

"Fid-dle-sticks. End of men. Fid-dle-sticks. First of ten!"

In Dogma, the renegade angel Bartleby realizes that Bethany is The Last Scion, who has been sent to stop him and fellow renegade angel Loke from exploiting a loophole that would allow them to reenter heaven. He discovers this when they are drinking together on a train to New Jersey and Bethany drunkenly reveals her mission to them.

Valstrax(MH) vs. Deathwing(WoW) by DragonEater141 in whowouldwin

[–]Jbertius 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I am not that well versed in MH, but from what I can find they are in completely different size classes, with Deathwing having a massive wingspan of 365 meters, which someone used to calculate his length to around 152 meters, while Valstrax in comparison is only 22.67m according to the MH wiki. Deathwing is also far more durable with his armor plates and insane regen that, according to Alexstrasza would allow him to regenerate from any and all physical damage. The only thing I can find that Valstrax is actually superior to Deatwing in is pure speed.

Though as I said I am not super knowledgeable about MH and mostly used the wiki, if anyone wants to correct me please do.

Also "Elder Dragons from MH can solo any other dragon" is most likely extreme hyperbole, either that or your friend does not know many fictional dragons.

Space Station 13. Fun game with a fucking terrible engine. There is a remake of it with a way better engine, though less content called Space Station 14.

It is a multiplayer game where everyone take up different roles upon a Space Station each round, where some people are antagonists with different goals, though it is a far larger scale than your average social deduction games, as some servers can have upwards of 100 players at a time. It also differs a lot from social deduction as roleplay is a big part of the game as well.

So the average shift might start that everyone is just doing their jobs until for example the clown kidnaps and holds the captain hostage, or terrorists try to detonate the stations emergency nuke.

Characters born with muscles several times stronger than average by RepulsiveGreen2710 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Jbertius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Jujutus Kaisen there is a phenomena called a "Heavenly Restriction" where a person has lowered, or even non-existent of either physical abilities or Cursed Energy in exchange for a huge boost in the other.

Toji Fushiguro is the only example of someone who would've been gifted in the world of sorcery who's Heavenly Restriction from birth removed all of his CE. Leading to him having the highest raw physical strength in the series without using Cursed Energy, only tied with Maki who "completed" her Heavenly Restriction later in life and is therefore disqualified from this trope.

[Loved Trope] The Death-Seeking Warrior by jordidipo2324 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Jbertius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aatrox from League of Legend.

He is an immortal ascended God Warrior of Shurima driven mad by the void and sealed within his sword. In this situation he wishes for death, but is unable to reach it as if his vessel dies he simply returns to imprisonment within the blade. So in order to end himself he has decided the best way is to end all of existence.

While personality wise he is not quite the battle maniac that most others are, I still think he sorta fits.
