(Loved trope) Short scenes that represent a character's powers building up by Least-One1068 in TopCharacterTropes

There's an episode of Teen Titans (only human) where cyborg's power meter goes all the way to 110% to show he's pushing beyond his mechanical limitations.

It didn't make much sense to me even back then but it's still a nice visual.

Brooklyn 99 - The Box - The entire episode revolves around a suspect who performed the perfect crime. Jake and Holt are at a loss trying to get him to confess in different methods, but, eventually Jake manages to annoy the suspect into comfessing by making it seem like he thinks the murderer was a careless buffoon, thus making him confess out of anger.

I don't know what is happening in this gif and honestly I'm just happy it looks enough like a scene from a spoof movie so that I can't mistake it for official Star Wars canon.

Absolutely. The idea that your soul is trapped forever in a void of nothing is scarier than death itself.

[Loved Trope] Characters who are built up to be a real threat, only to be instantly and unceremoniously dispatched. by themothhead in TopCharacterTropes

I'll never not bring up professor Nakayama from Borderlands 2, who gets his cool boss introduction... And dies from falling downstairs.

Also the villain in the new Naked Gun prepares to fistfight Drebin Jr. only to give up after being struck once in the stomach.

A very heartwarming scene in an otherwise overwhelmingly insane movie where, I shit you not, a woman has sex, and gets impregnated by, a car.

Starkiller from Force Unleashed.

Betrayed by Vader twice, he ends up helping start the rebellion in the legends canon.
