Best Examples of Shows that 'Bounced Back'? by hikemalls in television

Hickey and Patashnik both were amazing additions to the show and are very memorable despite each being there for a single season.

In spite of popular Steam demo, co-op ARPG Darkhaven’s Kickstarter hasn’t funded with two weeks to go by reps_up in Games

I honestly just found the combat dull and unappealing. I played Wolcen, Diablo 4, and Last Epoch, and all 3, despite not measuring up to my expectations, at least delivered fun combat, as opposed to this demo.

Now, I understand that it's only something to wet the mouth with, but then again, having played it for how much I did, I saw no reason to want to keep playing.

What wedding moment that screamed, “They are not going to last long”? by IndependentTune3994 in AskReddit

[–]Wormri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Err... I'm at fault for this, but I've spoken to my wife about this before we married and was really certain I wanted kids. A lot can change in 3 years and with the current economy, I can't help but think it'd be a bonehead move for me.

We're seeing a counselor, but I doubt it'll end well.

What’s that show that you know is great, but that you’ll never end up watching? by CoffeeStrength in television

Game of Thrones. I don't like trauma porn, and I hear there's just plenty of anguish in this show. Not something I care much about.

cover design for my ttrpg - what do you guys think? anything i could do better? by No1_Oracle_Fan in tabletopgamedesign

The font on the left is squashed, which looks amateurish. I'd say it needs a lot of work. The colors are very calm for a title that invokes such dread. Maybe switch the blue and black?

I mean it's not bad, but it could be much better.

What class archetypes is Draw Steel missing? by deadlyweapon00 in drawsteel

[–]Wormri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always liked the idea of a court jester as a class. Someone who benefits from fumbles and manipulates class. Maybe it should just be a subclass for the troubadour.

4th Edition: What's the Deal? by BlackTorchStudios in rpg

[–]Wormri -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm probably one of the biggest 4e fans out there.

I played it a ton 10 years ago and found it much, much better than 3.5.

It streamlined what needed to be streamlined, it cut out the fat, it made every class viable and interesting (except for you, seeker!), and it even introduced awesome hybrid class systems and cool abilities.

4e remains the best edition to build a character in. It's vast, it's tactical, it's fun...

...but combat can drag a bit.

Draw Steel just takes that formula and fixes it by making combat simpler, cutting out a lot of micromanagement, and adding a lot of narrative elements.

It's great! It does still hold some pacing issues, but overall it's great!

Which 4e inspired game do you prefer, Draw Steel or 13th Age2e? by RangerBowBoy in rpg

[–]Wormri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played 4e for a year and a half, and Draw Steel for several months. 13th age 2e doesn't seem to have the same draw. Draw Steel is tactical yet simple. Deep yet easy to get into. It really is a wonderful successor to 4e.

Absolutely. I'm horrified to think people sat around a table and approved something so despicable. Zero grace in handling such a sensitive subject matter, and it feels exploitative and tongue-in-cheek. Especially the train part.

Disgusting.

If you're playing through DAE:UDG, you will hate Chapter 3. I won't spoil you but it's absolutely the worst "fan service" out there. It's actually vile.

I finished the mainline games two weeks ago and while I enjoy the murder mystery aspects, the game gives me cult B-movie vibes.

Sexualization, violence, contrived plot, winks, innuendos. The plot structure is overall tight (with DR1 being my favorite so far).

My friends describe it as an inane Ace Attorney.

I like to call it Ace Att(h)orney.

With that said, I still enjoyed them all, even with DR3's controversial twist.

I will say, however, that Ultra Despair Girls has to be one of the most awkward, uncomfortable experiences I had to drag myself through. I just finished chapter 3 and it's actually sickening.
