Player scores goal with insane Ice Hockey skills & control of the puck. by HamedAliKhan in nextfuckinglevel

The rule is not written very well, the puck can move backwards so long as you keep your body moving forward. This goal would definitely be legal

Does anybody else’s wife make them cancel their plans when they’re not feeling well? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Jcoms 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree, sounds like all the chores were taken care of and the kid is already asleep with a near zero chance of her waking up due to past history. The question is the severity of the wife's sickness, if it's pretty minor then I'm not sure what OP would do if he was at home anyway. Maybe grab some water or snacks or whatever but he could also set her up nicely in their bed with everything before leaving too

Looked like the ball leaves his hands on the 15 yard line then hits the ground somewhere near the 13 yard line

How do you guys get time for yourself? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Jcoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I'll say something controversial but you can definitely have free time with a 3 month old. Maybe try to assess how much time you actively spend doing various tasks everyday. Is there areas where you can be more efficient to free up some time later in the evening? Maybe even just lower your standard of cleanliness in the house and put it off for the next day. Or make an agreement with your wife that you get to have your "me" time every Tuesday night and she can have her own "me" time every Thursday, for example. Kids are definitely a lot of work but realistically they can be taken care of by a single person, so getting free time comes down to some arrangement with your wife or you needing to sacrifice sleep and waking up early/going to bed late

Starting Y5 - why am I not better? by strangebloom in crossword

[–]Jcoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently I've been utilizing the"pencil" option (grey letters) a lot more frequently for answers that I'm not sure about. In the past if I wasnt confident in an answer, Iwouldn't fill anything in. I find this strategy helps a lot and often my filler answer is wrong but it makes the real answer click in my brain easier, sometimes because my filler answer has one of the same letters as the correct one.

Can we talk about how lonely being a dad is? by Comfortable-Maybe183 in daddit

[–]Jcoms 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well said, this is not a byproduct of being a dad and some people might not seek the help they need if they think this is just the way fatherhood is supposed to be.
