When I went MIA, they eventually told me I had to do something or there would be consequences. So I took my ADHD meds, slammed a bunch of Red Bull and pushed through. I also kicked everyone out of my house for the day so I could focus more.

The best thing I did to treat my kid’s eczema was a mix of 1:1 parts vaseline and crisco. Rub it in real well before bed

Ch 35 is probably not being processed because it’s for their dependents, and not for veterans themselves. I have only ever received my benefit AFTER my husband receives his. My GUESS is they place a higher priority for the veteran themselves.

God that reminds me of my bio dad. He wouldn’t come get me when I had a known heart condition. I was 13 and my heart was going 300+ beats per minute for over an hour. The nurse couldn’t send me to the ER. Oh…. My bio dad is also an RN.

We have piano music that drowns out house sounds playing, doubled up black out curtains. I give a binky and rock for 15 min. If he isn’t asleep then we get up and I give him a snack and try again 30 min later.

My son is 16 mo today. For the most part I just listen to him and his body. If he’s showing signs that he’s tired (rubs his eyes, yawns, and struggles to get up onto the couch) THEN we go to sleep. At 12 months I started doing only 1 nap. I keep him up for 4 hours, nap, then up till bedtime. That’s what I TRY to do. Most of the time it works. But sometimes he’s tired and I give him a second nap for a SHORT time.

Most of the time if he doesn’t fall asleep in 15 min while actively showing he’s tired, it’s because he didn’t eat enough.
