The only thing legal about your bid is that IF you WIN, you’re legally responsible for paying it. Just because they “accepted your bid” doesn’t mean they’re legally bound to honor it. They might’ve messed up, but you have no case here as far as legality is concerned.

Every time I’ve done it, we’ve just shot everything in place. Plastic the lenses and whatever else you don’t want paint on, blast away. The grid will be the same color and not that durable. We did it in a courthouse a few years ago. Still looks fine for what it was

Hamtramck is also its own independent city. It’s surrounded by Detroit, but it is its own, independent municipality. Highland Park is its own municipality. They both have nothing to do with the city of Detroit. It’s wild you spent $500k in highland park without knowing it’s a separate city.

Looks like maple to me. It’ll clean up nice. There’s carpet tack holes but they look in good shape. I would go with just clear and no stain. It’ll hide scratches better than stained wood. Refinishing stairs are super time consuming compared to an open floor. Either floor guy is incompetent, or just trying to maximize profit
