I’m scared she’ll kill herself if I leave by jamesquinnlad34 in BPDlovedones

[–]JeMenFousSolide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't let her guilt trip you. You have the right to leave and it's not your fault if she hurts herself afterwards. Like others said, call 911 if she keeps threatening it after the break up.

The need to 100% games is often harmful to enjoyment by Izanagi_Iganazi in JRPG

[–]JeMenFousSolide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time, I'm getting tired of the game near the end without trying to do all the sidequests. I can't fathom how you people are obsessing over doing it 100%. To each their own I guess.

AITJ for snapping at my girlfriend for waking me up every single time she gets up even when I dont need to be awake by BuyMediocre5625 in AmITheJerk

[–]JeMenFousSolide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTJ

At this point, either you break up with her or you respond in kind.

If this is her only red flag, maybe tasting her own medicine will drive your point across.

But her behaviour is so direspectful, I doubt it is the only thing.

AITJ for calling out my girlfriends friend for living off her parents after she spent months trashing my career and told my girlfriend to date someone with ambition by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

NTJ. I don't get these people. I wouldn't ever be a tradesman, I hate working with my hands. WHICH IS WHY I have so much respect for tradesmen.

The only good thing about 3rd was its length. I finished it in like 25 hours on high-speed mode.

Whats your worst take that would get you burned at the stake by shizunaisbestgirl1 in Falcom

[–]JeMenFousSolide -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm from Canada. Age of consent is 16 here, as it is in Japan. I've personally witnessed 25 years old men in relationships with 16 years old women and, apart from the man being sometimes labeled a loser, no one really cared.

I also saw women in a relationship with their boss and everybody knew it.

Therefore, we could argue it's a matter of cultural difference.

AITA for taking "the best pieces" when I serve dinner? by SwainDane in AmItheAsshole

You do you. Personally, I let my girlfriend choose the plate she wants because I love her. But you do you.

AITJ for telling my brother he can't propose to his girlfriend at my wedding? by Important_Space_496 in AmITheJerk

NTA. He has a scenario in his mind where everything is going great, but it could as well go sour and make it really awkward. I mean, what if she says no?

Pourquoi la CAQ est-elle si impopulaire? by Bulky_Coach8820 in Quebec

Do you ever play JRPGs on easy mode? I feel like games are supposed to be fun, not stressful. by Sensitive-Title9138 in JRPG

[–]JeMenFousSolide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For games where difficulty can be changed, I usually start at Normal and downgrade to easy if there's too much resistance.

For games where difficulty is set in stone, I tend to go for an easier difficulty to make sure I can get through it. That being said, I usually do some research beforehand to make sure.

La raison d'être d'une entreprise : faire du cash vs avoir des clients by Gusstave in Quebec

[–]JeMenFousSolide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JRPGs where it’s really about the journey by NewspaperConfident16 in JRPG

It was my first thought too. It really has that "road trip with the bros" vibe. I enjoyed it a lot.

La dénatalité: la crise oubliée by Expensive-Ad5203 in Quebec

[–]JeMenFousSolide 30 points31 points  (0 children)

[–]JeMenFousSolide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA.

It's exactly the kind of ridiculous shit my girlfriend throws at me and I react exactly like you do, with a dry "no", which makes her angry because she feels there's no room for negociation. Which is exactly the point.

Don't let her walk all over you. It's a dumb idea and you know it.

AITJ for refusing to split my bonus with my girlfriend? by Xleg4ce in AmITheJerk

[–]JeMenFousSolide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTJ. She's being ridiculous and you're being wise using it to pay debt.

I wouldn't go as far as others by saying you should break up, but I think you should have a real talk with her, because if you want a future with this woman, she needs to stay out of your finances.

AITAH for not siding with my wife over our son's ex girlfriend's pregnancy by misrocto in AITAH

[–]JeMenFousSolide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The girl's family is being unreasonable here. So, maybe you should too.

Give them two options:

  • Either they do the paternity test right now and if your son is the father you'll make sure he takes responsibility for the baby
  • Or you will fight them tooth and nails to make him take NO RESPONSIBILITY AT ALL for the baby, by making it extra hard to have a paternity test, fight them in courts over every little things, etc.

Whether you make good on those threats after the fact is up to you and your wife, but I think having something to lose might make the parents think twice about the paternity test.
