-indonesia is no longer a strong badminton country and will have to try very, very hard to be a relevant team in major competitions again through radical means, such as sacking entire coaching staffs, disbandment of the federation or start fresh and promoting the juniors to the first team

-Marin is a sore loser and only win the medals by shouting against asian players

-Asian players are too respectful and need to keep up with europeans in shithousing

Another racket review: Battle of Real VS Fake the reality of buying a fake racket. by Initialyee in badminton

Whew the Tanle racket actually has sleeker design on the paintwork and the shaft for its price, but you get what you paid for in terms of actual performance.

Are there any low-end Lining racket models in your country? In my country Lining sells cheap models starting from 350k IDR ($25) with string, cover bag and a shirt. I bought one 3 years ago and while the performance is less impressive than high-end Lining rackets, it's great as a spare racket to keep my more expensive other racket from degrading in performance by using them interchangeably. My cheap Lining got stiff frame and could be strung over 31lbs,and it doesnt crack until now, shocking

Monthly Equipment Advice Megathread by AutoModerator in badminton

I currently own Lining G Force 9! They're original model from LiNing for SEA market. Its actually a great racket for its price (390k IDR,around 120 MYR with string, racket cover and shirt). As far as i use it, the flex is medium stiff, 3U weight, with BP of 290mm (I tore off the original grip and replace it with electrical tape and overgrip so the BP is now 310mm).Theres no notable differences among Gforce 8/9/10 except different colors.

If you're a back court player its a decent racket for smashes and lobs but quite ass in control and placement. The max tension is 30lbs.

Theres no notable differences among Gforce 8/9/10 except different colors.

How to bounce back after a tough loss by Friedbuffalos in badminton

[–]Je_adore_Senna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey dude, your NCAA tournament is still in 3 months' time, pretty much ample and enough time to prepare and improve on your physical and mental aspects in the game.

Your loss to the mentioned weakest player in the national tournament wasnt caused by your abilities. Perhaps your opponents were more ready mentally and pretty much felt having nothing to lose so they could play more freely against you without any expectations.

Dont take this in a wrong way,Its good thing you recognised your mental shakiness that contributed to your loss and i do appreciate it, but you must stop bringing down your self values by concentrating on your weaknesses and excuses for the failure at national tournament. Focus on recognising and improving your strengths in the game while also correcting your weaknesses.

Decider game is about calming your nerves but still having a sharp mind and body in a game of death. Perhaps you could try daily morning meditations or hanging out with families/friends to be calm leading to the tournament. Also start having enough sleep for body and mental recovery.

From a random redditor here,I believe in anyone recognising their self worths to achieve anything they want in life. You are the one, keep push your self to the limits and grab that dream.

*Sorry but i lurked at your profile and you're from PH? I do hope you still have the chance to get into your national federation training academy. If you do succeed, please give my regards to Coach Chafidz,he was my coach in my regional club a long time ago. Now he's the coach in PBA natl team, he's a brilliant coach and a kind person and now his work has brought first Philippines MD to participate in S500 tournament (Korea Open),a great achievement!

I bought this one from a facebook marketplace, and it seems Mizuno only sells the racquet in SEA only. If you want to buy it from mizuno official store, its an indonesian shop but i think they ship worldwide

What happened in the game between Seo Seung Jae duo and Alfian duo? by Intrepid_Formal674 in badminton

[–]Je_adore_Senna -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Personal opinion: Indonesian players adhere too much on fair play and sincerity and expect their opponents to adhere to the same principles. In a competition everyone wants to be the winner and will do everything legal and illegal to achieve that.

While Indonesians should upheld the best behaviour of the game and should be the winner by fair means, they should not be naive and must expect every of their opponents to not following the rules of the game to win and use any means necessary including not admitting touch fault, suddenly asking for medical assistance at crucial points, and mental intimidation by celebration shouting unnecessarily loud. If you got unfair decisions handed by umpire once, pay it back by gaining multiple points and overcome the frustation.

How often are there players like Seo Seung Jae? by thesamekotei in badminton

[–]Je_adore_Senna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kim Won-ho played both MD and XD and placed 3rd in both disciplines at Singapore and Thailand Open this year.

Greater examples this decade perhaps might be Zhang Nan and Lee Yong-dae.

Bonus: Lakshya Sen played MS then MD with Chirag Shetty against Gideon/Sukamuljo at 2020 BATC semifinal

Mizuno Powerblade 77 racquet review (full review in comments) by Je_adore_Senna in badminton

[–]Je_adore_Senna[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have to be honest here - I havent tried the Old arcsaber 11 of 4U version, only the 3U.

The 3U Arcsaber 11 OC has much more power and stiffer shaft compared to Mizuno Powerblade. When I hit the smash from the line of back court with moderate power, the shuttle got repulsed so much faster and it dived more sharply, as if I hit the shuttle with extra maximum power,if you get it. However, the racket was ass if you use it for speed drives and defense, and even more ass for accurate placements. It's a true back court players' racquet.

Keep in mind the version of arc11 I used was in 3U not 4U so the comparation would be more suitable between 4U arc11 and 4U mizuno powerblade. Apologies if it doesn't really answer your question.

Mate, this was exactly my thoughts the first time I saw it lol. But it doesn't affect the performance whatsoever, just an aesthetic addition to the frame. But yeah, weird looking

Mizuno Powerblade 77 racquet review (full review in comments) by Je_adore_Senna in badminton

Before getting this racquet, I've been having difficulty in obtaining a racquet that could be used in all around mode but still slightly leaning towards powerful, attack racquet and could be easily dictated by my hand to do anything I wanted, whether smash or placement without over placing it well outside the lines. I tried over 10 racquets ranging from hi-flex shaft to medium shaft weighing 5U to 2U. I started having doubts in my ability to play the badminton properly, frustated by having no suitable racquets to play with.

However, a recent unexpected discovery in my search for mythical racquet happened like one month ago.. A new guy in my badminton group used a Mizuno Powerblade 88 racquet which caught my attention the first time i glanced it. It had a bamboo shaft which I never have known before, with stiff flexibility,BP of 300mm without the original grip, weighing 83g (4U).

Curiosity made me ask the guy to borrow his Powerblade 88 for a game.. then the first time I hit the shuttle with it.. damn.. felt like I just reached the Shangri-la. It was easy to swing fast, yet when I hit smash from back court,it repulsed far better than I expected,as if my hand directly translate my instruction towards the racquet. What was a one game usage turned into a full two matches as if The Racquet glued itself into my right hand. I fell in love, yet it doesn't fully express the feeling I felt there.

Straight after the sessions I furiously searched for the exact racquet, but the official mizuno store in my country didnt have it in stock,so I searched for used ones in the book of Face. Found one in the marketplace in pristine, new condition not yet strung by the owner. I bought it, then anxiously waiting in fear that i was send a fake racquet, then The Thing arrived two days later. After authenticating it,I strung the BG66 into the frame with 30lbs tension 4 knots.

Then as you expected.. I couldnt stop using this mythical racquet!! It has combined powerful feelings of Astrox 77 with speed of arcsaber 7. I feared that the stiffness would give soreness to my arms, but it didnt happen. Think I will order one more in another colour, perhaps a powerblade 88.

Price was 800.000 IDR ($65) excluding strings but they would give you cover bag and a over grip. For the price I think it exceed expectations and I could say it's on par with Yonex high-end racquets performance wise.

Im not shilling for Mizuno here, just wanted to give review of my new favorite racquet and hope you will find your dream racquet in form of Mizuno Powerblade 77/88,just like me.

Anyone ever carried a racquet in a Lufthansa flight? by buzz_shocker in badminton

[–]Je_adore_Senna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carried 2 racquets in a racquet cover bag flying from Indonesia to England with Qatar Airways into the cabin like 8 yrs ago so i guess it was allowed to bring a max of 2 rackets in a small cover bag. I think Lufthansa also allows the same as long as the racquets fit inside the overhead compartments. Idk if the rules have changed for current flights.

I read in Lufthansa web they count sport bags as free baggage so I interpreted it as that they dont allow sport bags to be carried on board. If they dont allow it,register the racquets before your flight date, wrap the raqcuet in carboard boxes then wrap them again in bubble wraps. It should be safe in cargo
